It's a great product, easy to use and much better than trying to keep the GPS mounted to the windshield where it kept falling off. I wish I had found the mount when we first purchased our GPS>

I had a Garmin heavyweight mount which was hard to travel with this Mount is lightweight and very easy to pack would highly recommend

This method of securing a gps to the dashboard works much better than using a suction cup against the front window. Easier to reach and doesn't fall off. So far, the item works great.

This item is perfect if want another option then having the Garmin on the windshield. It forms to the curve of the dash and does not slid at all. Base does not damage the dash.

After experiencing numerous problems with other Garmin mounts that simply fell into my lap while I was driving because of loss of suction, I will always buy this mount. No suction or glue is needed yet it stays perfectly in place until I want to remove it and can be replaced easily. I love it.

This is a perfect fit to any surface and any car. Sits very firm even with sharp turns and very easy to use. Just place on the surface and start riding. As simple as that

This Friction Mount is great. Doesn't move at all. Fits my Garmin GPS Perfectly. Mount bends slightly to contour the dash. Best mount I ever had and I had plenty.

I found it frustrating to mount my Garmin on the dash only to have it fall off in hot weather at the most inopertune time. So, I decided to purchase the dash mount. Unfortunately, my dash has no true flat and level surface. I was amazed that my Garmin does not slide or tip around curves in spite of the fact that part of the dash mount is not even touching the dash. My only disappointment is, that the mount is not more versatile when i try to manuever it to avoid the sun' glare. Otherwise, i have been very pleased and would highly recommend this Garmin product.

I bought one because I had tried several different types and they didn't work for my truck. So I saw this one and bought it, then one of my fellow workers saw it and wanted one too. I happens to be passing by Best Buy again so I bought another one. Thanks Garmin and Best Buy!

My last GPS was one that affixed to my windshield with a small round suction cup. Sometimes the suction cup would fall and the GPS would go with it. Not good trying to pick up both while driving and re-set the thing. I purchased the friction mount for my dashboard and the GPS now sits in it and doesn't move. Nothing anymore on my windshield that can drop, and the friction mount doesn't block my view out of the front window, but if it did, it could be easily moved to another spot without having to undo a suction cup and re-suction it back on the windshield. Very happy with purchase.

It holds a 7 in garmon and doesn't move. Fits well in ant of our 4 vehicles and doesn't take up much space. Haven't had any problems with dry rot like in bag ones

This mount works very well. The Garmin GPS mount snaps on firmly and stays. The base of the dash mount has a sticky silicon bottom that adheres to the dashboard and does not slide around. Other reviews have mentioned a sticky residue left on the dash when the mount is removed. I saw a couple of spots but they disappeared after several hours. The base is flexible and contours to the shape of the dashboard. I couldn't get it to stay in the shape I formed it to but, regardless, it didn't move once I set it on the dashboard. I am pleased with it and will continue to use it.

My only complaint is that it sits on a leather dash and it sucks all the moisture out of the leather. I have to treat the dash after every use. It's a convertible so I can't just leave it on the dash.

I needed something to hold my Garmin GPS on the curved dashboard of my Velostar and this does the trick. The only drawback is that the base isn't pliable enough to mold to the dashboard so it does move around during higher speed turns such as tight off ramps.

Aloha. The original mount which came with my Garmin gps cannot be used in the State of California, which is where I'll be using this Gps. ("No devices can be attached to the windshield") So, I bought this mount and tried it on my Toyota Tacoma's dashboard. it works fine without any slipping or tipping over at all. However, there is a small vibration, that isn't bothersome to me as I don't have my eyes glued to the screen, and neither should you!! Good product for a dashboard use when driving to a destination. It is easy to use and non slippery.

This does leave any residue when I put it on my car. It also is very easy to move my phone when it is needed

Hate window suction mounts for GPS units so I bought this when I purchased a new GPS unit. Thought it was a bit overpriced but I feel that way about everything. That being said, I am very pleased with this holder. It's heavy with a semi-flexible base so it conforms to the uneven dash and doesn't wobble. The only drawback is that it can't fold up flat. I don't leave it out when not in use so I use an old insulated lunch tote to store GPS unit, cord & holder so it's not visible to any potential thief.

Has a base that is a little heavy so it stays put when you are rounding corners. The gps stays where it's supposed to also and easily adjusts

Purchased this friction mount to replace an older mount. Mount is lightweight and easy to bring on business trips.
