This comes with the holder and is great for cars without flat dashboards. Stuck well to window and held phone securely. Easy to remove and reattach later. You can also adjust the position and angle of your unit to more easily view the the GPS screen. Handy when there is glare from the sun.

Works well but is a little difficult to fit between windshield and dashboard-partially because have a larger GPS device.

I bought this because I did not want to mount my Garmin to my windows with the suction cup. I read some reviews and most were positive. I took a chance and bought this and it works great. It slightly conforms to my dash and has not moved since I got it. I have gone around corners faster than I should and even u-turns and it stays were I put it. Its great!

It grips very well, it`s not slip. It sits securely on the dash of the vehicle.

Great product. Do not have to use windshield suction mount that can easily fall off and damage GPS.

Works great. Just make sure your dashboard isn't too dusty. If it is, dust will stick to the bottom. It can be cleaned using a wet rag.

The Garmin Portable Auto Friction Mount works exceptionally well. It stays exactly where you put it, on your dash. All you need to do is pick it up, with the Garmin attached, when you make a stop and don't want it visible to passersby. When you return, just put it back on the dash and you're good to go, in seconds.

Purchased a new Garmin Nuvis that came with the window mount. I prefer the GPS to be on the dashboard. This mount dos this wonderfully.

had to transfer bracket for garmin to this product from another garmin. in order to attach gps to the swivel ball.

Sticks really well, it never moved on sharp turns or on sudden stops. Doesn’t leave any marks. It’s just perfect for me.

Prints very good and love the wireless feature. Like the way the paper fits into a compartment and not sitting out in the open.

Instead of tacking the unit to the windshield, I elected to have a unit that I could move with ease that "adheres" to the dash but something that won't "stick" to it. This unit holds the GPS steady while the car is moving and even after going over some rough road. It is, however, a bit bulky and you do NOT want to pick it up solely by the plastic arm.

Do not hesitate to purchase. Stays in place. easy to use.

I tried the weighted garmin holder at first but there wasn't enough room inbetween the dash and windshield so I decided to try this one. It fits better and doesn't move on the dash no matter where I put it. I used it throughout the day for my job and I recommend it to anyone who wants a change from the suction cup holder.

I didn't give purchasing this item very much thought. I just figured I needed a mount for my Garmin. I'm glad I purchased this item though. I just set it on my dash and it does not budge at all. It keeps my Garmin locked into place and doesn't slide around when I'm driving. Worth every penny.

Having this stand with me on all my business trips has made it easier to move it around different vehicles, it is worth having one.
