Great product it doesn't look like it would actually hold from skidding off the top of my dashboard but I've tried very sharp turns at high rates of speed and this mount didn't move a bit. Bottom line excellent product compared to what else is available.

In my first minutes handling this, I didn't think it would work well in my car. I put it in the far right-hand corner of my dash, which curves downward significantly. I also had to slightly point it facing the driver's seat so I could see my GPS screen. I thought it would just topple over from being top heavy on the first corner. I was pleasantly surprised. I just got back from a 600-mile trip that included lots of mountainous, curvy roads, and not once did my GPS budge. I'd gotten tired of my suction mount constantly falling off my windshield and was considering getting rid of my standalone GPS altogether. Very happy with the purchase.

I used to hate how the suction GPS holders would leave a gross mark on my windshield. Now that I have this, it keeps my windshield nice and clean. Just buy this! You won't regret it.

The Garmin friction mount keeps me from mounting my GPS in the window, which is much better for me to view while driving. It sits comfortably on the dashboard and doesn't slide. It does what it's supposed to, so I'm greatly satisfied.

I purchased this because the windshield mount put the Garman at an odd angle and too far away from me and also in my line of site. This unit sits on my dash and hasn't moved since I placed it there. It is also held at a good angle to see easily also.

This is very good.. very sturdy.. I have no complaints about this product.. it serves my purpose.. may be I could say it could be little smaller in size so that it occupies less space. Works well!!

This is a nice alternative to the windshield mount. I use the window mount most, but it doesn't always stay on the windshield and falls off. This just sits wherever you want it and doesn't fall.

For me the stand is a must have! It anchors the Garmin when traveling really well, I've never seen it slide. Best of all no ring prints on my windshield when I'm not using my GPS.

A great alternative to window suction mounts. Heavy enough to provide outstanding stability and mounting surface is tacky enough to prevent movement for all but the most extreme maneuvers.

Works great on a dash that has lots of curves and angles

as I said, this is a stand, I place it - wow - it stays. . . . . . unlike my dog. I place it on console and it be the just right spot to use and view when needed. I like!
