i bought this in order to stop having to place a suction cup on windshield. works great and doesnt slide even with bumpy and fast turning . great for the cost.

This Mount works great in the dash where as the one that comes standard with the devise eventually doesn't stay in the windshield for us in the oilfield business.

After battling with a GPS mount with a suction cup that would not stay in place, this friction mount is great. I purchased it just before vacation. It never moved the entire 16 hr road trip and the whole week of sightseeing.

It does the job. It does not foul the windshield. It does not mold to the dash shape. It stays put. A sand base would be better. An ok choice. I guess I would buy again.

It does everything it is supposed to and does it very well. At first, I was concerned that it would not stay in place on my dash, but it really does stay in place!

Bought this to use in my Ford Edge. It is great, works wonderfully. Stays where put and don't have to worry about it slipping off dashboard ow off window.

I wanted a GPS amount that didn’t need to be stuck to my dash with adhesive. This did the trick. It was also convenient because I have 7 vehicles and I didn’t have or want 7 adhesive discs stuck all over the place. That said it works in a bunch of different applications. The key is to look for a relatively flatish place to rest it. I suggest cleaning the location with any spray, THEN, wipe it with alcohol to dry it. Rest the mount on that space. Recognize that there is a plastic film on the base that needs to be peeled off to access the surface that offers traction.

Very easy set up. It stays where you put it in the dashboard. It brings the GPS closer to you. Best of all, you view through your windshield is not blocked by the GPS stuck to the glass. Also, the store matched the on-line price.

read reviews and decided on this one. Love the voice command. Easy to put in addresses also. Slight glare on screen if not positioned correctly. easy to read and understand voice commands on directions.

The mount works well. It holds the GPS in place on curves and bumpy roads better than expected. Wish I got one before now.

The friction mount is both easily attached to dash and removed........is also easy to attach the garmin........perfect viewing height!!

I have had the bean bag style for years that you use with a suction cup mount. I prefer this model because it stays in place better and there is no suction cup to lose its grip.

I really like the Garmin portable friction mount for my vehicle, it sits well on my dash board or wherever i need it to be. it stays put when i have to do some fast maneuvers.

Take it out of box, add GPS bracket, Attach GPS, Set on Dashboard. Does not move, once placed on dashboard. Only Drawback, I expected it to conform to surface of dashboard

Good product to keep life easy when using the Garmin nav in multiple cars. It is easy to pack in a briefcase or suitcase when needed by folding flat. Seems to be an improvement that way over the old bean bag units.
