Nice quailty and function. GPS did not move once I placed it on the dash. It did leave a oily smudge/footprint on the dash. Would probably come off if wiped with soap and water.

Even in a dusty environment it holds to the dashboard. If your cars windshield has an extreme curve you will not be able to use the windshield mount easily. (Specially if you want to remove the GPS at night). This item makes it easy.

I had one that was placed on the windshield, unfortunately, I forgot it in a rental. This product works well. I use it daily and move from one company car to the next and take it from car to car. It stays in place, and has never slipped.

This is one of the best mount I have purchased so far. I can switch the phone mount whenever required. Its very stiff while in use doesn't shake or move in rough roads. Its worth buying at this price.

Works as described. Does not mark dash. Much more convenient than windshield mounts. Very easy for passenger (navigator) to move from dash for searching while on the move.

Much sleeker design than the bean bag mount. Though not as heavy, this mount stays PUT while driving and cornering and even under harder acceleration and braking. It conforms to any automobile dash design and can even mold onto some center consoles without the "bulky" look of the bags. When this thing sits on my black dashboard, it looks as if it were designed to be a part of the vehicle, and when not in use fits easily into the glove box or center console. It was the perfect accessory for my nuvi 255. I love it!

Where I live you can be stopped for having your GPS unit hanging from the window. This is a solid stand that stays in place when driving.

I was skeptical that this would stay in place while driving, but it did. It is easy to form to the shape of the dashboard and it stays put!

Purchased this for wife Xmas present (Black Friday) online. Fits like a glove with Garmin GPS unit (no surprises). Very happy with purchase.

This is quite easy to attach the Gramin and stays in place on the dashboard of my car.

Allows me to move GPS from car to car without leaving suction cup rings. Mat is more rubberized, doesn't use weight to prevent sliding like old style. Works great

The GPS friction mount works great with a Nuvi 255W. The mount does not slide at all while driving.

I was tired of the Garmin falling into my lap from the front window when I was told there was this alternative. It works very well, mounts the Garmin lower than the window allows, and does not move whole driving! It fits well in my Wife's '09 Sebring but would not have a good place to work in my '95 T-Bird. The difference is not the device but the design of the dash board. If you have a long, relatively flat dash this product will serve you well!

Stays in place and adjusts to your dash. Able to adjust elevation and swivel GPS as well.

I'd recommend this over the suction cup mount that comes with the GPS unit. The suction cup mount falls off the windshield periodically, but this mount holds on to the dashboard and, rather than the weight of the GPS pulling down from a suction cup, it pushes down on to a sturdy base. Easy to set up and easy to use.
