I admit I was surprised how well it worked. I didn't think it would stick to the dash. It molds to the dash somewhat and stays put. It took some muscle to get the ball in the socket, but that may be a good thing. It won't come loose easily. Overall, I like it. Getting it at a bargin price on Black Friday didn't hurt either.

The mount is solid on the dashboard and once you get used to how it works (no instructions whatsoever how to insert the GPS), it is a good substitute to a permanently mounted model.

It works great but the base is too large for the area I have in my dash. If it was a little smaller it would fit perfect in the area.

Two stars because it is stable on my Honda HR-V dash. Minus 3 stars because it leaves an oily residue on my dash.

We bought this to replace one that was stolen. This is the only friction mount that stays on the dash of our 2000 Caravan.

Its great taking GPS off the window and placcing it on the dash. I can put it off to the right, I also put it in front. I would tell you to get it.,

I bought this because a Sales Employee showed me how it sticks on real good and doesn't budge a bit. Sold I thought. HA! I put it in my car and the adhesive doesn't do anything. In fact it stained my dashboard! God knows how I'll clean that off. NOT HAPPY!!!

I bought this cause I have seen another type of dashboard mount that is made of a bean bag and is unsightly...this one is sleek looking and doesn't even move, it has some sort of sticky bottom, but does't mark your dashboard...

I got this item on Black Friday for about 1/4 of the normal cost, so I am satisfied with it. If I had paid full price I probably would have taken it back. Not as good as the mount for my Streetpilot c340.

I bought this thinking that it was better than the bean bag one, which my daughter has. This is very poorly designed. Where all the weight is cantilevered from at the base of the mount has no stability laterally. They put that at the front. So when you drive down a bumpy Michigan road, the GPS display is a blur due to the instability. For those technical, the lateral acceleration at the top of the GPS is about 10 times greater than at the base of the mount. Not good. I have the latest and greatest Garmin GPS that is probably one of the heavier ones, but you think they would have thought about this one a little. Get the bean bag one - much better. This will probably shorten the life of your GPS unit with all the vibrations.

Putting the GPS on the dash gets it closer to your eyes, so it's easier to see.
