If you're tiring of your GPS falling off the windshield, you need this.

We had to return the item because we determined later that it would have to be glued down to dish using included stick tape that would leave a residue if base was removed and would require additional cleaning of car dash

When I took this out of the package, it didn't stick on my dashboard at all! The pictures on the packaging made it look like this thing would mold to any dashboard, but I couldn't get it to stick at all. And my dashboard only curves a little bit. So I packaged it up and returned it. The little dashboard mount that comes with my Nuvi 265 WT works great, so I'm sticking with that!

the only reason i bought this is that they were out of the "bean bag" type dash mounts. this takes up too much room and does not hold its position well. I am throwing it away and buying the old "bean bag" mount as soon as i get the chance

originally bought to use with my garmin window mount, but the ball was too big to fit into the attachment for it

This did not lay flat on my dash and therefore it wasn't able to grip and stay put. I returned it in favor of a beanbag type friction mount which is serving me very well.

I just bought it and I am taking it right back. I'll give this a poor rating for several reasons: I tried this on three of the many cars that I own (Merkur Scorpio, Audi A4, Ford Excursion) - these being the primary use cars. The mount didn't lay properly on any of the dashboards. I am concerned the sticky gel bottom will get dirty and slide around- especially during "spirited" driving. All three have different dash materials; plastic, soft vinyl and rubber-like vinyl. The slightest bit of dust will be a problem with this mount. If your dash is not spotless, don't waste your time. I am going to get a long-reach suction mount.

Have the bean bag version and like that alot more, this one was on sale so I tried it, bad choice to save a buck.

Would definitely not recommend this. The suction one is better that comes with the GPS.

IT APPEARS THAT IT WOULD TEAR UP MY DASH BOARD WHEN EVER I REMOVE IT TO MOVE ONE CAR TO ANOTHER. BAD BAD BAD THE GPS COMES WITH VACUME MOUNTING DEVICE I DONT NEED TI ANYWAY. THE BEST BUY SALES MAN SHOULD NOT HAVE US WE NRRDED IT WHEN WE BOUGHT THE GPS

This friction mount is tacky on the bottom which is supposed to keep it secure to the dash but the edges curl up so it doesn't sit flat on the surface. Not only does it not sit well but it looks terrible.

Too much of a dinosaur for mounting on auto dash. No rotation available for holder, have to turn entire mounting unit to get desired angle.

It is horrible. It makes marks on the dashboard. It does not snap in easily.
