Better than original release but expected more.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought I was receiving the remastered version that came out in 2011. This was the 2009 re-release. There is a difference. The remaster sounds great according to reviews. This newer copy sounded good but not great. Granted it does sound better than the original CD that came out in the 80s. I just wish the listing were a bit more descriptive so I knew what I was getting. As far as the content goes, this is my favorite New Order release. It's sparse in some instances and full in others. It's cold and inviting at the same time. It builds from start to finish and is a great listen no matter how many times I listen to it. It still takes me back to when I was a teen discovering new interesting music and still sounds great today. I love this album. If you're expecting all dancy poppy hits, you may be disappointed but if you're open to some very interesting songs that create a great experience, give it a shot but look for the latest remastered version.
