Once you get the hang of how the controllers fit into the slots, it is not that bad, just right away it sometimes take a little bit to get them situated correctly. Is the extra 30 seconds a problem? No... But I miss the old PS3 ones where you just set them in place. Seemed a little quicker, but maybe just a learning curve as well. I think these will be better down the road though just because of the way the connection fits. Still would definitely recommend as it makes it so much easier to charge.
