It has light rubber around the grips that feel better in your hands. Also is a tiny bit bigger and is better for bigger hands. The Nintendo one is better suited for children imo.

They have kind of a grippy texture which isn't all that bad. I'd give it a 5 star rating, EXCEPT.... Recently, one of the sides doesn't really click into place anymore. It just slides upwards as I press on the joycon buttons.

This is very subjective but I find the original a little more comfortable, not to mention that the lack of the switch log drives is not good for my OCD. To be fair, that part I did notice from the picture before I bought it though, so that's why I only took off one star.
