Comes with rechargable batteries and two different controller doors depending on which model you have. Indicators show when batteries are being charged or are in maintenance mode. Really nice.

It is so convenient, especially if you have more than 1 controller. I have 4, so I always have 2 fully charged. It is a little tricky sometimes to make sure the controller is sitting properly in the charging cradle, but it's easy to tell if it charging because of the lights on the front of the charger.

My only complaint is that the charging indicator light on the front is always on. I like to keep the controllers on the charger but don't really like the light being always on (it changes from orange to white when fully charged but stays on). I just move the controller a little so it stops charging and the light goes off so not a huge deal.
