When it came, I switch out the batteries and added the rechargeable ones. I let it charge and the game controllers worked as expected. No complaints.

I have multiple consoles in my home - an older X Box One X and a newer Series X, so having 2 backplates for each type is super convenient.

Two nice added features: You receive two sets of backs to work with your style of controller. A long enough cord to plug the stand in and no need to be right next to the power outlet.

Can’t say I had to charge my PlayStation controllers since I picked up the system.
