THe only down fall is it is not rechargable and the batteries get expensicve if you play alot.

For the money I'd rather just buy a pro controller. It does have extra buttons but you can NOT remap the normal buttons. Only the extras. It doesn't feel very high quality, but if you really need extra buttons then not a horrible choice.

Overall like the design

Third party controllers that are made offical by Nintendo are awesome. They work great and are cheaper than the pro (though I still think the Pro is the best)

This thing is pretty great though and there are like 86 different colors so that's fun.

Even has comfortable extra buttons that can be mapped to act like any of the main buttons.

I have no trouble connecting to the switch. It always connects automatically. I now own 2 of these (one is a different color). I highly recommend this controller!

I haven't used it so i can't comment on a comparison to the nintendo pro controller, but for a kid I think its gonna be fine on that stand point.
