Syncing it with my nintendo switch was a breeze and it has not dropped connectivity since day 1. I would recommend this control over 3rd party options for the reasons listed above. Its price might not be the most economical but you will want quality for this purchase.

I had to get a spare controller after my 6 year old claimed he could beat me on Mario kart. The internal rechargeable battery makes this so much more convenient than others that use AA batteries.

The 1st party Switch Pro Controller is $69.99, which is ridiculous to me. With this controller, only thing missing is rumble, but I don't think it's an issue. Feels good and looks good. Rechargable battery life is acceptable. A lot of controllers have half this battery life.
