I use these controllers all the time when playing smash I love them sm 10/10 would recommend

I use this for Dolphin Gamecube emulation on Mac. For the price this is a great controller! So much better than playing gamecube games on a regular controller. Just be aware that for this price, you won't be getting vibration.

There are a couple of upsides and downsides to this product. The upsides are that it works for what it is fundamentally. It has the old school shape and layout of a GameCube controller but that's about it. It has a USB port to connect to the switches dock which works fine but the main issue for me was the fact that it lacks the rumble motors which leaves it feeling very light weight and hollow. If you want the experience of playing like when you were a child but don't need all the bells and whistles, this is a sure pick for you, but if your interested in authenticity you're better off buying the adapter kit for the original controllers.

my son is an avid smash player and lives by this style of controller, does still suffer from stick drift if you're rough on controllers though

This is a really fun controller and it's simple and fun to use. The only problem is that the triggers take a bit of extra force to register. This takes some getting used to as you need to let the trigger travel more before the action registers.

Who needs the adapter and the official controller when you can just plug this bad boy right into the base and have fun there and then and save money

Works great for Mario Kart 8 deluxe and it's great for when the batterys run out of wireless

My son broke 2 sets of wireless controls so I needed a cheaper control that he wouldn’t break. This control works great and is built tough enough not to get trashed. It only took a little time for him to get used to the control layout and being corded.

The GameCube controller is the best Nintendo ever made. This one is good quality and brings back nostalgia memories. Wish the cable was longer.

I bought this to play Slippi and Smash Ultimate. It works well for the switch, but isn't really all that suited for playing melee. The L and R buttons aren't analog, which might be nice for some people but isn't a good thing for melee. The sticks can be pressed in, which is nice for games that need them, but not necessary for smash games.

Such a nostalgic controller that delivers on the aesthetics of the original. My only wish is that cable was using USB-C rather than the older one.

Just like the old school controller makes it easier to play the games when you know exactly what buttons to use.

My husband loves it so much now I can’t play with my own switch lol plus I rather him playing the games instead of him going outside lol

Works wonderfully as that comfortable GameCube feel on the Switch with appropriate buttons for compatibility with new games!

I bought this controller for two reasons: one because I wanted a handheld controller for the switch and two for the old retro look of the Nintendo GameCube. If you want an old and retro vibe I definitely recommend buying this wired one or a wireless one.

I bought this controller on a whim so I could play smash bros at my friend's house and it has not disappointed me in the slightest. It's great for smash and great for other games too if you can get over smash controllers (I have trouble with that myself.)

I bought this for an alternate for my switch and I can say this is amazing! The controls feel good and it doesn’t feel clunky. It has a cord and can be used for games on the PC as well. I use it now for Star WarS Battlefront 2 (2005) on my PC.

Good, wish they made it a little more solid but I get why, it's the same controller pretty much.

Bought this to play Smash Bros Ultimate with my brothers. Plugs right into the switch dock via USB or can even be used with emulators on PC. Even has a removable micro usb cable if you want to use a longer one. Perfect for smash or any other compatible game.
