Feels lighter than i remember a genuine GameCube controller feeling but that’s more than likely due to the absence of rumble motors. Seeing as the wireless variant is more than twice as much and still doesn’t feature rumble this is practically a steal.

I purchased this unit for use on my PC to play older games. Some games were designed with this controller configuration in mind, and I was pleased to learn that this controller was easy to connect and configure, and worked brilliantly for these purposes. The branding says that it's a Nintendo Switch controller, and it will work for that as well. But it works very well for Windows 10 if you need this configuration of controller to play games on your PC. The build quality is commensurate to it's pricing, but has held up with daily use to this point.

This controller is a great affordable price and comfortable to use. I was recommended this controller by multiple people and I was not sure I would like it but I love it the only thing is it doesn’t have rumble but I don’t mind for the price and comfort

GameCube controllers, in my opinion, are the best controllers for playing Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I am very happy that Nintendo released them for the switch. It has done its job very, very well.

It's a good controller for smash. It's very light, as there is no rumble pack inside. My only con so far is that after a few weeks the left stick has this slight clicky feel when moving left to right, but it's not a big deal, it's just something I noticed. Overall it's a good option for smash, considering it's only $15

The power A wired GameCube controller is the best alternative.its lightweight and it feels good in the hands.it mite feel cheap in ur hands.its alot cheaper than buying the GameCube controller and adapter.i haven't had any problems with it.and u can use it like a normal pro controller for ur switch.

I got this controller a year before I bought my own Nintendo switch as I played a lot of games with friends on their systems. This controller works great and I have yet to see any drifting (joy-con drift) Even so I bought the 2-year warranty just in-case as I hear from others they experienced drift. I've played and beaten LoZ: Breath of The Wild, Mario Kart and SSBU using this controller and I'm currently playing Monster Hunter Gen. Ultimate with it with no drift problems. The only 2 downsides are no vibration and no gyro functions.

    Great controller for Smash Ultimate

I was looking for a second Switch controller to play Smash Ultimate. The buttons on the JoyCons are a little too small for me (but perfect for my 7 yo son). Didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for another pro controller. I never really played a lot of Melee on the GameCube and I wanted to see how the GameCube controller felt for playing Smash, so this was an affordable option. Turns out I prefer this. Thought it would be a pain using a wired controller but this comes with a nice long cord and the wired connection minimizes input lag if you care about that. Overall very happy with my purchase. Good value. The only problem is I can’t turn the Switch on with the controller by itself.

It’s a good controller, but don’t expect it to feel exactly like the original GameCube controller. The joysticks range of motion are a little smaller and the default dead zone is smaller. The sticks and buttons are springy. There are two Z triggers which I think is nice. The triggers do not feel like usual console triggers of this gen, they aren’t pressure sensitive you need to pull them until you feel it make contact with the actual input. As for longevity if you take care of them you’ll be fine, they aren’t tanks like the originals. All in all good affordable option if you’re trying to get a surplus of controllers for more people to play.

A great controller for it's price

This controller works very well as a gamecube style controller. It is not a one to one match because the trigger buttons are not analogue - it doesn't detect how far you push it down. It's either pressed or not pressed. So, as long as you know that going in, this is a great controller. This controller in particular does have a manufacturer issue that manifests in some controllers, where the A button starts to stick. I originally got one a few years ago and it took almost a year to manifest. I have not yet experienced this on this controller, and it is not a guarantee to have issues. Overall, this is a great controller at a great price, so replacing it after a year or two is not a big deal.

My son plays Smash Brothers and has been asking me to get him a “Gamecube” style controller and at first impression he was really happy with it. He later compared to a more “authentic” Gamecube controller and opted for that model as he says this one particularly feels lighter and can break easy. It is now a safe backup

My son bought this for his Nintendo Switch and he really likes using with it with Super Smash Bros. It has a 10 ft. cord, which is nice, but the only drawback is that it doesn't seem to work with other Switch games, although other reviewers say it does, so I don't know what the heck the deal is. But, overall it does work well and is a good value. I don't know about the longevity though as we've only used it a little for a few months.
