Plays like a gcube remote, but with less lag input. Im enjoying games with this, and if you play smash I encourage you to get this controller to test it out yourself.

We have several controllers for the Switch, this one has become my sons favorite. He won't play Smash Bros unless he has this controller. Seems to work great, very responsive.

The PowerA-Gamecube Styled Controller for Nintendo Switch was exactly what was needed and the price was competitive.

I purchased this product to replace my old gamecube controller, which is quite old and sometimes unreliable, and I wanted something new which I could rely on to perform in a tournament setting. I used this product frequently for about 2 months playing Super Smash Bros Ultimate casually and competitively. This product is significantly lighter than the traditional gamecube controller. I really missed the weight of my previous controller, the new one feels a lot less sturdy. Although I prefer the weight of the old controller, I enjoyed using the new controller, it was a step up from my old controller in most other ways when I first bought it because everything worked fine. However, at about the 2 month mark, while competing in a tournament, I noticed that my characters would suddenly turn and face the wrong direction when I moved the directional control stick. Afterwards, when I used the Nintendo Switch's controller-calibration feature to figure out what was going on, it became clear that the hardware in the controller was no longer functioning properly: when I input a movement to the left with the control stick, the calibration feature showed on-screen that the controller was registering and executing a move to the left to a certain point, then quickly moved all the way to the right, and then continued moving left. This issue may not seem significant, however, it renders a controller completely useless. The game which this controller is primarily used for requires very precise, quick inputs of information that must be carried out as they are intended for the game to work. When an issue like this happens, a controller become a liability because you can't do what you want to do. Given how long my previous controller lasted before it began to degrade, how expensive this controller is, and that I bought this product because it was advertised as being the best for the game I compete in, I feel incredibly disappointed by this purchase. I went back to using my old controller which, even degraded, was significantly better than this purchase because it didn't have this sensor issue. I packed away this controller while at college hoping to see if it could be repaired or replaced. However, when we were asked to move out of our rooms early because of COVID, it got lost in the mess and I only rediscovered it a few days ago when I finished sorting through the stuff from my dorm. I sincerely don't believe that Best Buy is out here selling cheap products that break only a month after the return/exchange policy expires. I suspect that my product was faulty and that if I were to have picked out the controller on the shelf to the left, it wouldn't have had this issue. I want to keep using this product if there some way to repair or replace it. Is there any way I could get my product repaired or replaced? I would like to use it if possible. Thank you!

if you need a cube this is the closest to the OG cube controller. The lz and l buttons are a little deep but it gets the job done to play games like Smash bros ultimate

Switch controllers are too small for big kids (adults) to use. This controller brought back nostalgic feels to modern game play.
