Now I found this controller weird since it connects to the extremely limited (only a few on the switch) USB port. Now this controller doesn't feel that great but what do you expect for such a cheap price? The controller was ok nothing of excellent quality but doesn't seem ultra cheap. Well I've had this controller for a few months and doesn't work anymore. I wouldn't suggest this controller, I've barely been playing Smash because my time is so limited and I'm not too rough on the controller but the joystick already messed up. Definitely a skip in my book.

Now the second one I have is experiences the exact same issue with the same right shoulder button not clicking...

I grabbed the last one and of course right after I no longer can return it for a new one my switch/dock don’t even recognize it anymore

It is by far more comfortable than using the Joy Cons in the grip controller. I have not tried the pro controller yet, but that is on my list of accessories to add to my Switch collection. Over all not a bad and inexpensive upgrade over the basic Joy Con grip style controller.
