The charging dock is an ideal accessory for the Nintendo Switch console; while not required due to the innate ability for the Switch's dock to charge the joy-cons, it is well worth the additional money to invest in if your own multiple joy-con sets. The charging dock is able to charge joy-cons even when the console is powered off on the dock through electric currents on the USB ports. While many products with internal batteries tend to have degrading power throughout their life-cycle due to overcharging the batteries, the joy-con charger does not seem to suffer from this due to a regulator on the joy-con controllers.

Charges effectively! Saves space because it is pretty compact & is super simple to place the controllers on and get them off! Definitely would recommend this product!

Worth it since makes it easy to charge several controllers for the Nintendo Switch. Great for multiplayer games that need a remote for each player

Great way to change multiple controllers at once. Controllers slide easy onto the changer, charger plugs into the switch base for power.

Having to charge 3 sets of Joy Cons wasn't entirely too hard to manage since they have a great battery life to start with, but this charging dock is a nice solution. You can tell when they are fully charged with a glace thanks to the green indicator light. If you get paranoid about overcharging, you can simply pull them upward just a bit to stop charging without them falling out. The base has a good amount of weight to it to prevent accidental tipping and has a cable that is long enough but not too long. I'm happy with this purchase since I only use Joy Cons and do not have a Pro Controller.
