I first used it on my OG XBox One controller, and when I got my Series X, I popped in that same battery pack(with the appropriate battery cover) and it worked like a charm. I love that it's chargable outside of the controller and there's indicator LEDS, unlike the official XBOne Play and Charge kit that for some reason decided to put the indicator LEDS on the cord. Def great so far!

Normally I would recharge it while installed but they usually die while gaming and I don't want to stop to plug it in.

Due note that because they're NiMH batteries, they wont report the charge level for the controller because they maintain their voltage until they "die". So you wont really know when they'll die, however they can be charged while you play thanks to the built in USB, and they provide a really long cable that you can use with any USB charger or plug directly into your Xbox/PC. So in the event they do die, its no issue, just plug em in and keep going!
