It eliminates having a wire to plug into the ps5 freeing a port and you can charge a second controller so when the first dies the fun doesnt have to stop.

Great product with a massive design flaw

My old one broke and ive not had a chance to actually look at this one. However. They originally had a MASSIVE design flaw, where the prongs smwere always sticking up and could easily be damaged. The PS5 docking station addressed this by inserting a guide/sliding mechanism that would ensure no damage occured to the prongs. Hopefully they have, or plan, to implement that design into this little guy.
