When trying to use a cheaper/off brand cable they weren't lasting long for our controller. The cable would get twisted due to the direction it plugs in. They also weren't near as tough as this one is. A thick sturdy cable that produces speed at recharging and a great length of cable. Perfect for our ps4. With no cable twisting! It pays to have the intended charging cable.

Great length for my son to charge while playing. Only cons... slow charging with this charging cord.

These should be included with the purchase of a remote it’s a must have if you play a lot and your controller dies while you’re playing.

This cable is a must because if you loose the one you have and your control battery goes dead your out of luck. I tried charging the controller with other usb cables and they wouldn’t do the job. With this cable you know for sure it will charge your controller and be ready to play.

Tried the 10' cables from Walmart. The length is nice, but they soon get sloppy loose in charging ports - and not just the PS4 controller, for phones or anything else. These 6.5' cables sacrifice some length, but they are Playstation certified and the quality is way beyond the cheap cables. This is my second purchase of this charge cord, go with this for quality.

My daughter needed a charging cable for her Bose headphones while on vacation. We found a Best Buy store and we’re helped by a knowledgeable salesperson. The cable works and the long length gives her more charging flexibility.

Like the length of the cord. It works great and charges my controller. It was just what I needed considering the other charger that I had used in the past stopped working.

These break after a reasonable period of use, so it's always good to get one from Sony at a reasonable price. I prefer original manufacture parts vs 3rd party if they don't rake you over the coals. It's a quality cable and will last compared to many of the 3rd party variety.

I was in need of a cable for my ps4 controller and I bought these official sony usb cable for 9.99. At first i thought it was 3 ft of cable but after reading the box i realized it was 6.5ft. The cable is sturdy and the length is perfect. For 9.99 this cable is worth it. I highly recommend it.
