Customers are enthusiastic about the wired controller for Nintendo Switch, praising its budget-friendly price, comfortable design, and long cord that provides ample reach. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding its wired nature, lack of advanced features like rumble and motion sensors, potential durability issues, drifting joysticks, and occasional reports of defective units.

This controller feels good and does a good job for most games. However, it is unable to start the console in docked mode, lacks rumble, and amiibo support. Though the tradeoff for the price is just fine for me. My wife uses this for Overcooked 2 and will not go back to joycons.

I got this with my Switch system and while the prepackaged controller does the job this one does it better! I would rather use this one but it does have some draw backs. While it still works great it is a basic controller and doesn't have componants inside it that are critical to certain games. So no tilt/rumble here. Even so it makes for a great controller (except for moments where tilt etc is needed) and a great buy for player 2+

A great budget controller. Not wireless and no rumble, but excellent for what you pay for! Cool looking design.

I got this for 1/2 off. For that price I give it the full 5 stars.
I understand that you may be saving up for a wireless controller but think about how you may be using this controller. This might be a better and cheaper solution.
In my case, it is at my leather chair which is only about an about 6 feet away from the TV (the cord is 10 feet, but I run the cord behind the TV and the Switch is on the other side of the TV, so I use all of the 10 feet). The cord has a velcro strap to make is shorter if you need to. I never have to worry about the battery running out or having a wireless responsiveness problem with this. And I never lose it because it cannot go more than 10 feet away. Since it is behind the TV when not in play, it is not cluttering up anything either.
My kids use the wireless Switch controls on the couch which is maybe 10 feet away from the TV. Mario Kart works perfectly for all three of us this way.
In addition, I will likely use this for this new games I just got during Black Friday week to play alone: CIVILIZATION, UNRAVEL 2 or HOLLOW KNIGHT. It will allow the more expensive controls on the switch to last longer and be used more in handheld mode.

I wanted to get a pro controller To play super smash with. I couldn’t find my self paying $70 for the actual pro controller so this one is a great alternative. Of course this one is wired but it gives enough cord that you don’t have to sit so close to the console or tv to play it. The only thing is that it doesn’t have a rumble feature. Besides that I think it’s a great controller.

Bought it for the kids to avoid worrying about batteries and charging. It does a simple job. The cord is a decent length. As noted by others, there is a notch in the cable so just any cable won't work. So far there are no quality concerns. The design is nice. Time will tell how durable it actually is.

Not a bad controller. Quality is decent and it looks and feels great. Did have an issue with one of the joysticks (which is apparently a common issue for these) where it started cutting out but it was an easy fix but could potentially cause frustration for others. Fair word of warning!

I love this controller! I bought it during Black Friday on sale for $15 (I think) so that I’d have at least 2 controllers to play Mario Kart with someone. The cord is long enough that I don’t have to stay close to the tv and the quality of the design is good too. I was honestly expecting something a little cheap looking for the price but the design really holds up.

I bought this controller because my switch pro controller started messing up. The 10 foot cord is enough for my set up. The D-pad is much better than the pro. There is no rumble or amiibo feature and you can't turn the console on from the controller. If those things don't bother you, Then you will be very happy with this controller.

I really like this controller. It’s plug and play, so the setup is easy. Feels great in the hand and I like it more than the joy cons. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for a friend.
Also, the Zelda logo looks really nice and in my opinion, it’s hard to beat for the price!

I love the design, but wish it was wireless and had hd rumble. Ended up returning it because I regretted the fact that it isn't wireless, but I could see how some may want a wired controller instead. I'm sure this is a great controller though, and for that I couldn't knock off any stars.

My girlfriend loves Zelda: Breath of the Wild, she saw this and had to have it! For only $25 and since we only have joy cons, yeah I'm 100% good with it.
Has great design, durable and there's a Zelda one which our friend has. So we have the Link one and he has the Zelda.

Great, less expensive version of the Pro Controller. I didn’t need the wireless version or the vibrate functionality, so this was great, less expensive option that has worked perfectly for me.

I purchased this for my son’s 7th birthday and it exceeded my expectations. It’s very well crafted and feels more durable than the controllers that we purchased with the switch originally. The design is beautiful and I have to say the pictures do not do it justice. Could not be happier.

Overall a really good pro controller substitute. Yes, it doesn’t have wireless, rumble, or motion control, but for the price it’s great if you can manage without those. It is comfy, with a softer feel on the front, and buttons are nicely sized and spaced.

This is the perfect remedy for controllers running out of power. This plugs right into the Switch dock and works effortlessly. I get great response from the buttons which is especially nice since I find the Joycons to be too small for my adult hands. This is actually the second one that I have bought!

I mostly use this controller to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate and occasionaly Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is solidly built and comfortable to hold and use. It doesn’t vibrate or use motion controls, but it is very much worth the price. I would recommend this controller to almost any switch user.

I think this is a great controller for the price. It is more on the cheaper side since there is no vibrations and the buttons feel a bit cheap but it's great if you don't need it much. The cable is really long and works well
