I fell in love with Rocksteady's Batman game after playing Batman: Arkham City. That game was so amazing that it just blew my mind. Therefore I had to give this one a try. After finishing the story and playing new game+, here is what I think. ***********************************************************************************PROS************************************************************************************* -Stealth and Combat Mechanics: This is what I liked the most about the Arkham City and also what I like the most about this game. You can take the enemies out sneakily or just beat them up using Batman's physical skills as well as unique gadgets. The game gives you plenty of options in terms of how you want to take the enemies out in most of the areas and one you master some basic controls this stealth and combat gameplay becomes quite fun and addicting. It was the best part of this game. -Gotham Openworld Gameplay: This game has a very nicely designed Gotham city with a lot of buildings and structures straight out of comic book which is great fan service. Also the city is larger compared to all of the previous Batman game. I loved going around the city both in batmobile as well as gliding. I also liked how it gives you option in terms of whether you want to go after a particular villain or stick to the main story. Very nicely done. -Batman Armor and gadgets: The new batsuit is simply mid blowing. I loved the armor like looks of it. This game also has a lot of the bat gadgets from previous game as well as some new ones. They make the combat and gameplay quite fun. -Batmobile/Tank gameplay: Another great addition to the game. Like the design of the Batmobile. Also liked how batmobile can be used side by side with physical combat. Many people complained about Batmobile turning into a lethal tank. But I didn't mind it. To go against an army you would need something like tank. -Story and Villains: Again very faithful to the comics. Really like how this game has a wide range of Batman villains. Also liked the story for the most part. It was probably the most climatic story where at time the whole Gotham city changes. Truly very nicely done. Not only the main story but some side stories were also very suspenseful. Bravo! -Humor/Jokes: This was probably the second best part of the game for me. For sake of avoiding spoilers, I won't say much but this game had the best jokes of all three games. There were times I laughed so hard that tears came out my eyes. Again great job. -Upgrades: You can upgrade your batmobile/tank, gadgets, batsuit and combat moves upon gaining experience. Adds RPG element to the game making it more enjoyable. -Replayability: This game has a great story and amazing gameplay. I would replay it again just for that. But in addition, it also has new game plus mode. So those who are looking for challenge, just go for it. -Bonus content: Tons and tons of bonus content. I really liked some of the costumes and Harley's quest ***********************************************************************************CONS************************************************************************************* -Batmobile/Tank Gameplay/Boss Fights: I liked the addition of Batmobile but this game relies too heavily on it. It can difficult for those who are not good with Car games. While I was able to complete all the missions at times I found the car gameplay to be too frustrating as I would be bumping it everywhere and doing more damage to Gotham than the enemy cars I am chasing. Also it would be too annoying to restart the whole mission just because you make one mistake and you lose track of enemy car or boss. Also some boss fights were very disappointing as you end up fighting them in your Batmobile. I was truly expecting physical combat with bosses like Arkham knight and a boss who takes his place as commander (don't want to spoil either's identity). I almost gave up on the game as I was having too difficult of a time defeating Arkham knight during the tank gameplay and Riddler during his final car race course. -Arkham Knight: I didn't mind the fact that Arkham knight was who I thought he would be but it was disappointing how the game doesn't do enough to throw the player off. Also as before hated how after the tank, car and stealth battle with Arkham knight there was not a physical battle to elevate the conflict to the next level. I would have rather remove the tank fight and add physical fight. ***********************************************************************************CONCLUSION********************************************************************************** Contrary to the cons described above, this is a great game which is a must buy for those who liked Arkham city and the Batman/Action/Adventure game fans in general.

I've played the first two Arkham games. I loved them!! I guess three games is when you get bored. The bat mobile is fun a first but it ends up being a tank battle on the streets of Gotham. Just not what I expected.

Fitting ending to the Arkham Trilogy

I will always stand by my opinion that Arkham City was the perfect open-world game, but Arkham Knight is a fitting end to this story arch. I will spare the details of the negatives, mainly the Batmobile, which unfortunately did suffer from some execution flaws, but I will say I still found the overall game very well done. Graphics are beautiful and the jump to PS4 definitely is welcome. Even without Mark Hamill, the Joker is done very well too. Also, I will say that even though I am not a big fan of DLC or Season Passes, I bought this one and it was well worth it. Loads of content and I am thoroughly enjoying my second playthrough.

With the addition of the batmobile, you would think this game would be the best in the series. Unfortunately the batmobile becomes the most confusing, frustrating part of the game.

Biggest and most Ambitious Batman Ever

The Arkham series as a whole is incredible, and Arkham Knight is a satisfying conclusion to Rocksteady's epic trilogy (not counting Arkham Origins). The game is as dark and beautiful as ever, and the voice acting is simply amazing. Arkham Knight is full of references and characters from the DC universe, and to save spoilers, you also have an unexpected "companion" who's with you throughout most of your time back in Gotham. The map is the largest in the series, which may seem like grappling and gliding could be a chore. The addition to the Batmobile makes traveling that much easier and fun, though it took me a while to get used to the unnatural driving controls. Freeflow combat returns with a few more tricks, but also takes time to master, especially with the gadgets that you unlock later in the game. It is definitely the deepest combat system of the series, but not too complex to stray away from the fun. The story takes elements from The Long Halloween as well as other major issues from the Batman comic series and ties them in very well to make a very well thought out campaign that keeps the player invested from the start. It's easily the darkest of the series (the M rating is justified by much of the content). That said, it's not a typical gory, f-bomb filled game. It is a very dark story of characters that we all know and love (or love to hate) in what could be one of the most devastating plans ever deviated by a criminal of Gotham, one that may finally be too much for the Batman. Overall, Batman: Arkham Knight is a masterpiece throughout, and it's add-on content with Harley Quinn and Batgirl (among others) ad hours of more gameplay to what's already an addicting experience. Definitely a must buy if you've played the previous games.
