We want borderlands 3 already, this game makes me sad

NOTE: As part of the closed technical test, I can review only the parts that were available at time of the test. Story mode - Story mode was exciting. It has some of the standards when it comes to bosses. You get the boss' health down to 75% and he leaves sending in more minions, then you go find him. They will do this multiple times before being able to finish him off. The ability to purchase in-game "mercs", drones only so far, is nice, as they will point you to minions that seem to be lost and also have enough fire power to have your back. The in-game turret purchases are nice as well and very useful. I really enjoyed the sarcastic ramblings ISIC Reported Feature in Story mode - The fact that I can start Story mode as one character, and change as often as I like without having to start over with the new character is a very interesting twist. Multiplayer - MELTDOWN type - I like the mix of FPS (First Person Shooter) and MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game mechanics. It puts a nice twist on the normal PvP Capture the Flag, Domination, and Free-for-All. Meltdown was the only Multiplayer type we got in this test. Overall - The new Helix system, which allows you to build your character in-game depending on the needs of the situation, is a great way to test different build-outs to see what works best for you. Along with the Helix system for in-game building, there are gear load-outs for pregame configurations that can be used in game to do everything from buffing your character and buffing other teammates to Nerfing your opponents and dropping a grenade upon dying. Summary - Story mode was fun. Multiplayer has some great twists and will be a majority of my game play. The new in-game character building is probably my favorite aspect of the game. I like what they have done with game. It will be take up many hours of my future.

A large variety of characters that play all differently. I like humor, and the MOBA aspect of the game. Campaign mode feels more like a "survive the wave" mode at times.

First- If you go into this expecting it to be like borderlands, you will be disappointed and frustrated. This is NOT borderlands. It is a mix of MOBA, team fortress and borderlands. It must be played with more than 1 person. If you fly into this solo you might as well take it back. You'll be bored and some characters will simply be unplayable without another person(s). There are 8 story missions each about 1 hour long, with 4 separate difficulties that make them different each play and even more different while played with different characters. Truth be told it does seem grindy to get players leveled up enough to unlock items, perks, other characters, etc. The Multiplayer is OK. Needs more modes and the matchmaking is rather haphazard. It took the game over 5 minutes to find us a match one time and then it was laggy as all get out. But once in the action is constant although I will admit the 20 second respawn is nuts. There are still some technical glitches. We had an enemy on one of the maps that spawned somehow up on a mountain on the map and we couldnt kill it so we had to wipe and start over. There was also a time where a player fell through the map and when he respawned he was still under the map. All in All a 7/10 to me.

battleborn could be best described as a jack of all trades but master of none, blending many different genres together in one package it delivers in most ways but still falls short of greatness. The biggest flaw is the lack of content in the game, 8 cooperate/single player missions and 3 multiplayer competitive modes with 6 maps just isn't enough content in my opinion. Player through as different characters (24 in all) is enjoyable and what's here is very good but I would have traded characters for more maps/missions. That said battleborn is a joy to play with friends or alone and once you start unlocking characters you'll be hooked.

BattleBorn is a fun game to play with friends for some cray Multiplayer action. It can be fun with randoms as well for match making, but solo is not as much fun. It does have a bit of a borderlands feel to it, but don't expect that kind of game. It isn't billed as one so don't be surprised. If you have GCU and you can get it on sale, go for it!

I know that everyone thinks overwatch is the next best thing but this game is a hidden gem just think what would happen if destiny and Rachet and Clank had a baby, you would get this game.

Love the gameplay, characters, the hilarious moves and who doesn't like taunting your opponent after you killed them?

This game is literally amazing. It combines the genres of an FPS an a MOBA with the humor of the Borderlands series. Another great game from Gearbox and 2K. Checkout the Battleborn subreddit, the developers of this game are active within the community and love interacting with their fans!

Fun first person MOBA, however it lacks a large multiplayer community and matchmaking has inconsistent lobby finding times.

To only have a few multiplayer maps at launch, it's amazing how much replay value this game has. There are a ton of characters to choose from, and each of them have a variety of ways you can specialize each one to fit your play style. The game rewards players for working together, and is a great take on a "FPS MOBA." Definitely recommended.

This game is like the Story mode to Overwatch! It is a great game for the price and you would be missing out if you didn't grab a copy. The games look and feel is more cartoony. And you could say the menus look less polished then Overwatch, but the game play is there and its fun! I recommended this game to my friends.

I love this game! Awsome first person shooter with a twist! Not only does this game has a story mode, it has a robust PVP mode. The PVP is not the traditional PVP, you have minions that help you achieve your goal. Also you have 25 characters to choose from, with 25 play styles! A must have for any library.

Fun, creative game for my nephews. Would buy again if the sequel comes out.

Good game, do not compare this game to overwatch it's much different

This is hands down the best game I have ever played. It is incredibly replayable in both PVP and PVE modes. Character and story depth are unparalleled. Highly recommended.

The gameplay looks amazing , graphics are nice as well . Looking forward to this game on May 3

Great game, with tons of humor, the pvp is actually a lot of fun, game is fine solo but if you got friends to play this with its a super blast

There's a reason why this is on sale for less than $5. I got it for even less due to the gamer's club, and wish I'd saved my money for some fast food or anything else instead! The game is terrible. Online features not working, no polish to this game at all. Don't waste your time or money on this garbage!

Game is amazing, constant great gameplay, though sometimes laggy which is most likely just me.
