This game is very challenging just like the Souls games such as Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. It is not for casual gamers. It takes a lot of patience and discipline to beat a game such as this but with every new lamp you lit (check point) and boss you beat, there is a great satisfaction you will get from very few other games. This world is immersed in beautiful gothic art and around an amazing crafted designed world. It does a great job of opening up short cuts and making hidden areas to discover secret items and such. The bosses battles are all unique and uniquely designed. They all have a distinct way of beating them. It is done with a great soundtrack and a satisfying ending. It doesn't tell its story through cinematics. It does so through discovery.

One of the best games of 2015. Extremely challenging. You will die. And you will die. And you will die again. Fear not fellow gamer, as this is the meat and drink of Bloodborne -- this is what makes finally killing that dreadful beast/monster/encounter so much more rewarding than other games; a true sense of reward and satisfaction afterwards. If this game isn't at least in the mix for best game of 2015, then cyber crimes need to be filed and pursued. I'm so grateful I switched over to PS4.

It's everything Dark Souls was, cranked up to 11. This is the best non-remake game on new gen yet. (The Last of Us was one of my favorite games of all time, however). This is a system seller if there ever was one. Hard, but not in stupid ways. It challenges you to be better and you will, or you will die repeatedly.

If the Witcher 3 didn't come out in the same year and wasn't the master piece that it is, this game would be game of the year for me. Wouldn't recommend it to everyone. Takes a certain kind of person who enjoys games that are meant to be challenging. Or if they are familiar with the Demon/Dark Souls series. Borrows heavily from the Cthulu mythology and gothic/Victorian architecture. Visuals and screenshotting opportunities are in abundance. DLC is also heavily worth it as well if you enjoyed the game and want more. Also adds a lot more background to the story and helps you understand the world more. Game has zero complaints or any kind of graphical bugs or glitches which is a rare thing nowadays.

This game is a amazing experience so far, after putting in 8+ hours i can say this is honestly most likely gonna be goty for me. No this game is not dark souls or demon souls, no it's not welcoming to a newcomer and it's very very hard. You need to have quicksilver/flash type of reflexes and movement on some bosses/enemies. It really requires you to be lightning fast and it really challenges you as a gamer. Just very fast paced and very smooth. I've only beat a few bosses so far and its only gonna get harder, 10/10 game. +unique enemies +very good level design +great bosses +awesome sound effects +amazing difficulty +great weapons +ton of more things.. really.

I heard things about the Souls series, I am a gamer and I thought I needed to give it a try. Back in April, I decided to buy the game, at a great sale price. It is hard, but Fair. It is fun to play with your friends coop, it almost feels like a different game. I finished the game in a month, and I ended buying DS2 , I am almost done with that one, and I already have DS3 on my backlog. Gameplay wise, the games feels like playing those early NES games, like megaman and castlevania. You needed precision to hit, and to know when to dash a run, Once you pass level 20, you will start feeling that everything starts to make sense. Long story short, I am a believer.

This game is a must if you like super hard games that test your patience as much as your game playing skills. Beautiful game, and intense at times, but VERY hard. Worth it though!

This is one heck of a great game. That being said - it was not the game for me. I spent a good number of hours exploring much of the landscape. This game is very much in keeping with the Dead Souls series, which features a style of play where dying is to be anticipated and passing an area takes dying, replaying, dying, replaying and so on until finally learning all or most of the hidden secrets and dangers that spell certain multiple dooms. The fighting style in the game is excellent and can be adapted via the aforementioned repetition of levels. If you dig Dead Souls - this is the game for you. If you like butting your head up against a wall so many times that you finally break through - there is that appeal here. Personally, I'll be playing Witcher 3 for the foreseeable future.

My first game in the souls series and loved every bit of it. Great atmosphere, boss battles, gameplay and the game looked beautiful. That ticks every mark for a good game.

Do you like to lose in games? Well this game has you covered. Following the game play and harshness of it's cousins Dark Souls and Demon's Souls, this game will have you replaying a section over and over until you grind your way through or get lucky with some blocks and dodges. This is a great game. I love the dark tone and weapons. There isn't much of a store, like it's cousins, but there is an interesting narrative that seems to tear down the fourth wall, in a sense. A game like this feels like it's saying here is a world out to get you, you are the error in this world and you must be stopped...

In the beginning, I was really confused about what was going on. It took some time to get used to, but the game grows on you. It's very fun, suspenseful and rewarding.

Definitely a challenging game that requires patience and memorization. This is your typical have and slash. The environment and Gameplay were engrossing. Definitely recommend to gamers who want a challenge.

Bloodborne is a game I heard much about but had no clue what it entailed. After hearing about co-workers and reviewers rave over the game, I decided to try it out myself. The difficulty at first was a bit overwhelming at times but after delving a bit further into the game I became hooked. I have put in over 100 hours, and as I stated above, Bloodborne is hands down my favorite PS4 game. I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone, even those not familiar with From Software's previous titles.

Maybe its a good game but for me personally I could not get into the game.

Now, while I love the entire Souls series, my favorite was definitely the original Demon's Souls. There was just something very creepy and dark about it that wasn't in the Dark Souls games. Plus, the hub world is something I always liked so it's great to see that make a comeback. This game is BRUTAL so be ready to get your balls ROCKED over and over again. But don't give up! With each victory comes an indescribable satisfaction that's sure to keep you playing until the wee hours of the morning. So fire up your Playstation 4 and crack open an ice cold brew. Then...PREPARE TO DIE.

TRY AGAIN. Words of wisdom for those who want to slam the controller at the TV and destroy the disc. I had many a times when i wanted to do just that but i stuck through it and kept playing. It felt awesome when i beat the bosses and unlocked the next stage. I will say this...I usually don't buy guidebooks but...after playing it for awhile i needed it. There is no map and the story line is not straight and you can change it by skipping bosses and doing harder things first without knowing it. I used it religiously and i felt that it didn't take anything away from the game.

While it is a top notch game the load times just killed it for me. it installs 40gb yet still far too long waiting to get into a game or certainly after dying. Online is fun, either seeing the ghost of others that played or even teaming up with friends Gameplay seems basic with dodge and counter but 1st is getting used to the characters which brings the horrendous load times. It also brings in the spaced out save points If you're looking for a pick up and play, choose something like Little Big Planet but if you're a die hard gamer looking for a challenge it's a must buy.

My title says it all. Although the game is difficult, it is absolutely satisfying...especially when you progress. Highly recommended

If you're a fan of Souls and you're aware of what these games entail, then definitely buy Bloodborne. It lives up to the hype.
