Back in the day all games were pretty hard. And this is similar to that in that when you die, well you lose a lot. Because of the current gen of games with save points every few minutes Ive gotten use to that. This game was just too hard and frustrating for me.

Pretty much more of the usual gameplay, graphics are gorgeous in numerous areas and the "trick" weapons help add a new dimension to the combat with giving you two unique weapons for one item.

I have several comments on this game. 1) There is no discernible story line. I've played it for weeks, and it's fighting mutant people, wolves, birds, people, and boars. It has vignettes, but no clue to a story line. 2) There is absolutely no glossary or dictionary or hint in the game itself. You are totally dependent on online wikipedias, gamer websites or a paid network for information on even basic symbols like how a weapon is rated. I suspect a large part of this is to force the gamer to join their network for a monthly fee. 3) There is absolutely no clue as to where to go or how to progress in the game. You either have to literally stumble into another entrance, or again depend on an online wikipedia. There is no clue as to what is optional, how the optional locations are structured, or what it means if you delete a location. The game itself leaves you totally in the dark. 4) There are boss fights which are necessary to progress, if that is the term, but which are impossible for some people. Like me. I've been spending weeks in the Shadows of Yharnam fight, and I have to give up the game itself and move to another. There are no difficulty levels, and no strategies you can use to compensate for fast reflexes. You simply can't progress. The gamer sites offer suggestions, but they don't work. Lots of people have loved the game. I don't. I don't like the total absence of a story or narrative, absence of any semblance of character, absence of any in game information, and the barrier of an almost-impossibly hard boss fight which you either win or stop progress entirely. If you don't want to pay a monthly fee for the Playstation Plus network, I'd say to skip this game. There are super players who can whiz through this kind of thing. If you just plod through games like I do, looking for a strategy break, you'll run into a barrier you can't get past, sooner or later, and have to just quit the game, like I did.

The game is fantastic, pretty tough, but such a great journey. Buying it used to was cheap and easy. ZERO scratches, fantastic quality, it looked brand new.

I bought this game when it was launched and I am still owning it. I really can't get tired of this. In addition, I bought the DLC for this game "The Old Hunters"

The Devil May Cry of PS4. If you love these action/adventure games like the old school Castlevania then this is a must have

This is to help save money in your wallets, I am a hardcore gamer and look at games like these who also used to be a veteran in the dark souls games and this games only good for its graphics, THATS IT! trust me but the decision is yours who want to try out the experience, the gameplay is boring as you roam the streets , the combat isn't as fun and challenges you which is partly very good thing, and if your a trophy hunter, hah! Good luck I only managed to get 0 trophies in this game. Big disappointment.

The PS4 slim just came out and I finally picked one up. I come from a PC background so this was a huge step down. But after reading mostly positive things about this game I gave it a shot considering I love the Soul series. As the title suggest it's a blur-fest with its locked 30fps. It even drops below that in certain areas and it really affected my gameplay experience considering I'm use to 60fps Soul games on PC. If you can handle stepping down and handicapping yourself get this game. PC users, stick with PC games. Don't go to consoles.

This game reminds me of a Tim Burton movie( long lanky arms and legs on the enemies) just a little bit creepier though. I'm currently on level 225.

Buy this game if you have a ps4. This is what the system was made for.

The game is hard but it's good! It's not for everybody because the theme and how hard can be but if You are up to... You will not regret!

I originally got turned off with this game because of frame rate drops on the normal PS4, but the PS4 Pro runs it great. I'm so happy I got back into it.

If you like Dark Souls and enjoy the bleak mental horror of author H.P. Lovecraft this game is a dream come true.

A bit easier then the souls games, but still able to distinguish itself in different ways. Really great game.

husband seems to like the game play here. i'm not too sure about it myself, I don't play many games.

Bloodboune is similar to its dark souls brethren but with just enough differences to make it better.

I am really into competitive stuff (Black Ops 3, Halo, Overwatch, ETC) but sometimes I like to relax and play some single player. Well, this one isnt really relaxing, its really tough and dark as heck. I probably just got it because it got the high rating and was a PS exclusive.. but I kind of regret it. I didn't like Dark Souls either though.

A must have for ps4 owners. Great action/adventure game hours upon hours worth of content.

Extremely addicting fantastic concept does get a little repedative some time when leveling up
