Wow! How could infinity ward match the last COD4.. Well they answered with the perfect response, that is modern warfare 2. the single player mode is a bit to short for my liking, It's only about 6 hours of actual playtime until the campaign is over, with different unlockables is does make it interesting to play it through multiple times on different difficulties. but be aware the VET mode is EXTREMLEY difficult. Again they have fouind a way to make online play just as addictive as the last modern warfare, if not more addictive then the original. With many new perks, weapons, the online experience really never gets old. Automatic pistols, shotguns, FINALLY A MAGNUM! and all sorts of other modern weapons this game is HARD TO BEAT. A MUST BUY!

This is a great game. The story line was very interesting but very short. There is a terrorist level that will make you think when you play it. At the beginning of the game they say you can skip it but it does get you thinking which made the stroy better. The multiplayer is top notch. The guns are pretty cool and there are alot less perks to get but this does not make it bad. The coolest new feature is the Killstreak customization. You have to unlock them as you level up but they have some really cool ones. They do not seem to hard to get because of the lower perks can get you alot of kills. Check this game out it is very fun if you like multiplayer. If you are just playing the story then rent because it took like 5 hours to beat.

Modern Warfare 2 is an excellent first person shooter. The controls are excellent and fluid. There are three components to the game. One is Special Ops, in which you alone or with a friend via Xbox Live or split-screen clear levels with different objectives. Warning: Veteran Difficulty is insane. The second component is the campaign mode. When compared to the first game, this game's campaign let me down. For one, there are times when it gets confusing. And secondly, you don't really get attached to the new characters that are introduced. The third component is multiplayer mode. This is the highlight of the game. There are 70 levels to level up, ten times if you choose to prestige. There are many challenges and weapon specific challenges that reward you with a title, which you can show off to your friends.

The game puts you in a situation everyone fears will eventually happen, A WAR WITH RUSSIA! The main campain is pretty straight forward, you go through missions and get achievements along the way. The Special Ops segment is very cool since it takes highlights from the game and allows you the opportunity to relive and master them. The online multiplayer is incredible and never lets you get bored. The fact that they have integrated experience points and level increases that lead to gun, accessories, and special ability unlocks means you will not become easily tired of the game. This is easily the best game I have ever played.

I see a lot of people on here complaining about the short campaign and such, when in reality Infinity Ward wasn't basing their focus on the campaign. Let's talk about it though, the first couple missions are enjoyable, sneaking through a blizzard to escape down a mountain on snow mobiles, pure awesome. After that you run into the controversial, hardly sensible airport mission, where somehow your involvement in helping a genocidal terrorist leader in slaughtering an airport full of innocent civilians will get you closer to eliminating him as a terrorist presence. My question is why not just kill him and his partners right then and there as you stand behind them with your LMG. But hey, you can skip this mission if you want. To be honest, I haven't finished the campaign yet. I've had the game since midnight release and upon playing the ridiculous missions that require no tactical gameplay at all, and just random, ridiculous firefights, I straight up quit playing the campaign. Okay, enough about that. The multiplayer, for lack of a better word, is epic.. in the most part. Easily one of the best multiplayer experiences ever created. There is a couple problems though that anyone that plays could tell you about. First off, the glitches. Yes, there is going to be glitches in every game, but upon release of the game there has only been one released patch and that didn't fix nearly half of them. Constantly being pulled into extremely large party private games such as free-for-all on rust, that count towards your statistics. The infinite ammo glitches. Many more. Next we can talk about some of the weapons. First example, the Model 1887's, these are the most unbalanced, ridiculous weapon placed in any shooter, ever. Secondly, you have precision shooting, where very often you will find an enemies exposing only their head, yet as you shoot them there (which should kill them), somehow you are hitting another part of their body. Last but not least, you have the fact that when you are playing a gametype with a full party, the server pulls certain members of your party out of the game, even when there is enough spots in the designated game. The 2LDR version, basically there is alot of things in this game that are wrong, but can be patched, and hopefully will. If you can put up with the nonsense that is within this game long enough for happen, then I recommend buying it. Other than that, it's an amazing game.

Campaign- Short but a very exciting thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Spec Ops- Gives you some fun and short parts out of the campaign that gives you a goal to reach and earn stars on three different difficulties...Very Fun MULTIPLAYER- Nothing i have ever played is as great online as this game....throwing knives....sticky grenades....tactical nuke....custom killstreaks and multiple accessories on one gun and they took off the annoying martyrdom and juggernaut which are a plus to me...... A+++ = brilliant game Must Buy

This call of duty game has the most insane killstreak rewards and very fun weapons and perks. The maps are also quite good. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that is a fan of shooter games.

Great follow up from the first modern warfare game. Multiplayer is the reason to purchase this game and they made it better. With different perks, attachments, weapons its great fun. I like comparing my stats to my friend to see who has the highest K/D ratio etc.. Only thing I didn't like about it was the single player, they basically took the first game, shortened the game but made it more action packed...but almost too action packed. It's like Michael Bay got a hold of the game and put his action twist on the game. I probably wont play the single player story again but like I said, multiplayer is where to be.

This is a great game! I don't have a very great TV at my house, but the graphics are great anyway. I had COD 5 and I figured that this would be great. Its beyond that. So many improvements, like the graphics, campaign is better, and the multiplayer has so many new things like Death Streak perks, choosable kill streaks, a choice of emblems including ALOT of brand new ones, and nickname sort of things. There are also more choices for secondary weapons, and new cool perks. Overall, great game!!!!!!

Have to be an Xbox live member. No instructions. Really a bad product.

This is a continuation of Call of Duty 4 Modern Warefare. The game starts off a few years later. The game play is excellent. The AI arent the smartest in the world but they will mow you down. The Campaign is tight. Good story line and it keeps you wanting to play. The Multiplayer is the first thing I went to. Very impressive graphics and superior gameplay. Play this game, even if FPS's are not your thing. THIS GAME IS A BLAST!

If you loved the first MW then you will feel right at home with MW2, same game mechanics but extra tid bits to justify calling it a sequel. I'm not going to go into single player because the beef of this game is in multi-player. HUD The first change you will notice when playing MP is there is a lot of flashing points and kill names when you score a kill, which makes the game feel more arcadey but I welcomed this change. WEAPONS You can level up almost any weapon in the game... I was hoping to level up the knife and make it a katana blade, let's hope they add that in MW3 hahaha. There aren't many returning weapons from MW1 but that's good since this is a sequel, you will enjoy finding out the details of each weapon. MAPS I noticed that the maps do not taylor to run-n-gun twitchy gun fights, which is good because I'm almost 30 and can't hang with the 13 year old gun-slingers now-a-days. There are a lot of corners and different levels where your enemies can shoot you from, so you will need a little more patience this time around KILL STREAKS / DEATH STREAKS (NEW) This was a big change, instead of the standard set of kill streak rewards from MW1 (UAV, Air strike, Helicopter) there is a whole heck of a lot to choose from, but you can only bring 3 kill streak rewards to a match. Death streaks are when you die multiple time without scoring a kill, from my experieince none of the death streaks weren't that great but they do help. Matrydom which was a perk in MW1 is now a deathstreak reward, that was the only useful one.

like everybody else, i beleived the treyarch lies. they told me black ops would be good through their trailers and ads and so on. i was so disappointed to see how boring and terrible it is. i gave BO a month then i couldnt take anymore. so me and my friends went back to mw2 and it seems better than ever. great game and if ur thinking about buying black ops dont, stick with mw2. better spawns, graphics, guns, killstreaks count toward more killstreaks

Best online play in a game, great progression for your character in online play. Single player is amazing, but quite short. It has the perfect level of difficulty. New weapons and attachments are amazing. Special Ops provides the co-op experience the last game didn't. It's great fun with a wide variety of mission types. Overall it's a great game with few flaws.

Live multiplayer never gets old. On xbox live multiplayer, you start with very basic weapons and perks, and you earn new weapons, perks, and attachments as you play (for getting kills, headshots, etc.), so the game doesn't become monotonous and repetitive like other games.

waited outside for two and half hours to get this game at midnight. Got home and put it in and it was everything we had been waiting for. the online play is fun, graphics are great. the maps are super interactive. new perks, weapons and maps. i would have paid more.

I've played every single Cod across every platform since the days of the 1st Cod on PC and Call of duty modern warfare 2 is as near to perfect as an Xbox game can get. The graphics in this game are stellar, the 1st modern warfare is the only other game for 360 that even comes anywhere near the graphic quality of this game which would only make sense because MW1 was made by the same company but modern warfare 2 received a bit of an updated look including a touch more color. The default control layout is the most functional set up i have ever utilized in any game. The story mode is of adequate length mission-wise and varies in time length depending on the difficulty settings and has a wonderfully baffling ending. The absolute most attractive feature of this game is by far the multiplayer mode. The multiplayer mode is the fastest, most intense multiplayer experience on Xbox live. Every portion of the multiplayer mode is customizable from weapons, to perks, to equipment and every combination there of. If you own a 360 you absolutely must get this game and if you don't have a 360, GO GET ONE!

They did it again! COD: Modern Warefare 2 is the best first person shooter out there. The graphics are great. The weapons are great. The campaign is a great story! Anyone who loves war games and first person shooters should definitely get this game!

I got this game a while ago, and I'm still hooked to the Xbox Live gameplay. It has a few glitches but is always fun to play with friends and we really enjoy it. The Spec Ops features are also very intense and challenging. The only thing that I though could be added were more missions to the Campaign mode. Don't get me wrong though, the Campaign still has a great story line along with great graphics and epic slo-mo moments. Overall this game is outstanding and I recommend it to everyone. Don't mind the Mature rating, the blood looks like strawberry jelly.

I bought this game simply for the on-line play. It never gets dull! There's so many challenges to complete, guns to master, and then you have the Prestige modes. I play this game every day online. It's a lot of fun and the game play always changes as you play against different people. I bought the wireless headset for chatting, but I found I hardly use it as I'm tired of hearing 10 year old's cursing up a storm or people trash talking others. MUTE is a great feature! My only complaint about the online portion is the amount of points it takes to update your maps - but the updated maps are great. Learn your maps, and master your guns. The best gun to use is the AUG HBAR and the .50 Cal Sniper rifle. Anyway, master your guns, learn your maps and take out the "campers"... oh, it's so much fun to ruin their killstreaks!
