I'm writing this review to give you the full Modern Warfare 2 experience.This game is absolutely amazing.5 years after Modern Warfare, Makarov the man loyal to Zakhaev the guy you shot down in COD 4 wants revenge on everybody.An entire nation is duped into military action,and America is invaded by a foreign power.The campaign hops back and forth between the US and overseas.The enemies in cover are well better hidden than in Modern Warfare.Your allies are ready and willing to move up,help check the corners and even prompt you to move forward.The visuals are simply amazing with every scene looking like a major blockbuster movie.Over the course of the story you will infiltrate arctic bases,race to safety on snowmobiles,sprint over slum rooftops in Rio,hold fast food restaurants against invading armies and liberate the White House from enemy hands.The level designs are fantastic from start to finish.Some people might get very offended,but their is a play through were You shoot innocent civilians in a crowded airport.You don't have to play this part of the game if you don't want to.Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer is better than ever before.The big edition is Spec Ops mode.It's a collection of 23 missions designed for two players to battle their way thru.It also shows events that happened elsewhere within the game,as well as in Call Of Duty 4.Competitive multiplayer is what you're familiar with with as in COD 4.Leveling,perks,kill streaks rewards it's all here,and It's been tweaked and rebalanced for a better experience.You're constantly unlocking rewards earning XP for just about everything you do.Completing challenges for new gun attachments,leveling up perks,even opening up custom titles to display along side your name and matches.Kill streaks are now awarded for new vehicles,auto turrets,care packages for random bonuses,even to rain AC-130 from above.For those that play badly you're still rewarded you get a bonus for snapping a scoreless streaks of death.3rd person mode not all that great,you might play it once or twice,but that's it.Modern Warfare 2 is sure to be a game of the year,and it's a first person shooter that every first person shooter junkie should own.Infinity Ward you done it again.

I bought this game when it first came out... The single player campaign was pretty decent, It could have been better. But obviously this game is more for the multilayer experience. First time I jumped online i was familiar with the controls an the way the game player because of the first game, Tho I did notice the game is a lot more fast paced which can be a good thing and a bad thing... The perks are great some are a little overused but what do you expect? Camping is here but once again what do you expect... Overall this game is good but not the best COD in my opinion, I would recommended getting it if your a fan.

Great game. The single player is like watching a movie except you get to watch it over and over and over, well at least for me, cause I die a lot... The special ops is friggin awesome. If they were trying to one up Treyarch's zombies they did the trick. I only wish it was four player. Multi-player is as expected, great. I wish the physics of the game were a little more realistic but if that is all I have to complain about then ok. Overall great game.

This is a must get for people who love playing online. the graphics are amazing and realistic.spec ops is really fun but its not as cool as the multiplayer. multiplayer is the best thing about this game .the campaign is pretty cool but short . even though this game's campaign is short the other modes are alot better. if your getting this game just for the campaign you,ve been warned, if your getting this for the multiplayer and spec ops then enjoy!

for being the sequel to MW, i wasn't too sure if it would live up to expectations. Believe me when i say this, it goes WAY PAST EXPECTATIONS. I love everything about it, the campaign offers 4 difficulties, still making regular challenging. Also the multiplayer rarely lags, and has the best graphics I have ever seen. May not seem like much, but when the glass breaks its looks completely real. I give this game 10/10...a true no brainer.

Hands down the best online multiplayer game there is. The graphics are ridiculous. The new perks are awesome and the custom class options are endless you can really get creative. I really didn't think Infinity Ward could make the game better than COD4 but they proved me wrong. Everything that was wrong with COD4 was fixed in this game. There is not a better 1st person shooter game out there. I highly recommend this game.

They have done a great job with the new game. The story line flows like a good movie and the game has no dull moments. I like the changes to class mods in multiplayer and the addition of the Special OPs missions was nice. It would be great to see them have some addons that would allow the maps and weapons from COD4 to be used in Spec Ops and Multiplayer. The maps are great and it would be fun to be able to use them all.

Being new to this game and the XBox 360, I was fairly unsure about what this game had to offer. But, now that I own it, I love it. My three favorite things about this game are as follows: online, online, and online. Of all the internet gaming i've done, this is by far my most enjoyable experience. As soon as you buy this game, please make sure you've got your XBox Gold Membership up and running, or else you'll miss out. As for the gameplay, its laid out perfectly and you have a ton of different weapons at your fingertips. The scenery is awesome, and it changes constantly. So, don't worry about getting bored. As I stated above, the campaign is kinda short, but thats a small price to pay for the entire package. As for controls, the controller set-up is pretty easy to figure out, and eventually will become instinctive for you. I own a Wii and was VERY used to the motion and point controller, but I still got used to the 360's controller set-up for this game pretty quick. So, seasoned 360 owners should have no issues. Some requirements that I recommend: XBox Gold, a good headset, and a wireless controller. Energy drinks are optional because you'll be playing into the wee early hours of the morning, lol. Other than that, don't sweat getting 'waxed' when you first start playing. There's a learning curve that everyone has to endure. **Note** Please do not buy this game for a kid. There's already enough kiddos who are online playing this that use profanity constantly. 15/16 year olds and above should play this game.

This game is intense. The campaign, while entertaining, is really only the tip of the iceberg. The multiplayer via xbox live is where this game shines. There are a multitude of options, from your typical deathmatches, to capture the flag, to hardcore matches with realistic bullet damage. AND there are Special Ops where one person or two people can play Co-op in some special missions, different than the campaign.

This game is amazing from the Spec Ops to the Campaign every thing is great. In multiplayer the game really shines, there are a ton of guns so even if you suck with some of them you will find you like. The kill streaks are much better in this game too although the Tactical Nuke is a bit cheap, needs 25 kills and ends the game wining in for your team. (Hint use a EMP 15 kill streak to cancel out a Nuke.)

This game is great! The campaign is amazing and ive played it about 4 times already. All though the online play is really fun sometimes there are so many cheaters and hackers that just totally ruined the game for the rest of us people who enjoy this game and tried to do good on the leaderboards. I still like playing COD 4 online then this but still worth all the $

Single player - It is an epic adventure that will take you to a bunch of cool locations with great weapons. The story is pretty good and as usaul, it is very fast paced and exciting. The downside is that it is short! It took me 5.5 hours on Regular difficulty. It was a ton of fun though! Special Ops - This is my favorite new addition to the game. Playing with a friend is great. They made 23 missions that are basically parts of the campaign to play through with a buddy. All of them are well designed and a ton of fun to play. Beating them on veteran can be VERY DIFFICULT (I'm still not sure how I will beat a few of them). Multiplayer - They did a great job with all of the perks and leveling system. It plays very smooth as usual, but I have experience a little more lag than I did in COD4. Also, I like some of the maps, but some of them I don't really like. The graphics are great, the sound design and music are great. The gameplay is great. The overall quality of the game is top notch. This game will have a lot of replay value thanks to an overall great multiplayer experience. I wouldn't let my kids play this game, but for those of us over 17, it rocks!

This is a great game, blows both Call of Duty 4 & 5 out of the water. Has great graphics along with amazing online gameplay, the new perks and killstreaks add to the superiority of this game over the others!!!!!

This is everything you expect from modern warfare. Great graphics, great gameplay, an actually good campaign, and of course a good multiplayer. But of course they still have the party bugs when you are trying to play with your friends and you can't be in a party when you are playing online but besides that this game is golden.

This was probably one of the best games I have played in my life ill tell u it was worth 60 dollars i would recommend this to anyone who likes RPG games and shooters it was an awesome game but not that hard to beat.

Im fairly new to playing these types of firstperson shooter games, but I found this one very accessable. Ive played other types of games for quite some type, but Im no xbox live champion. I normally like either more fun story games like mario on the wii, but I have to admit this is a fairly fun game. Graphics outstanding, action packed and gripping, and the diversity of different weapons was dizzying. I only started playing this game because my boyfriend plays it all the time and I wanted to be able to spend more time with him. Sitting around chainsmoking while watching other people play videogames was getting old; although I have to admit the action in this game is so fast I hardly have time for a cigarette when playing =) Just kidding (a little), but seriously, this game moves fast but is very engaging. I think its a great buy.

this game just looks badass, theres a new campaign expanded from the old modern warfare campaign and theres still the fun multiplayer, and yet theres no zombies(yay) theres a thing called spec ops thats just like it (i think)...defently a must buy, i doubt it woud get old like odst (firefight sucks)

As a parent of a 15, 13 and 11 year old, I was very thankful for the option and warning to avoid the level with disturbing violence. My husband went through the level and because your under cover you are in the midst of a very cruel attack. The sounds and images are definitely disturbing. Whether you choose to act with them or not, the ending is the same. We verified that and choosing to avoid the level altogether does not affect the outcome of the game. We have a blast fighting eachother and love the amazing graphics on the maps. I like being able to upgrade my weapons as I increase my skill. I can't make myself a girl, though. While I listed not being able to climb on everything and anything (as you do on Halo maps - which I love) there are still some fun and unexpected areas you can find to climb up and snipe from (which is the main gist of my gamer strategy considering my boys skills are far beyond my capabilities! lol). My only other complaint/wish is that we could go live and play together, as we do on Halo.

best game ever. anyone who rates this game lower than a 4 needs to being playing a wii with their girlfriend. bettter use of weapons. maps have more depths where your not just locked to level one or two. mw1 is also a great game to try. veteran level is will make the best people take their time!

I didn't think they could improve this much on Call of Duty 4, Modern Warfare, but they certainly did. The mulitplayer is even more addictive than before. They've expanded the killstreak rewards and expanded on the perks, allowing a higher level of customization. The best game I've ever played.
