This is one great game. The campaign is a bit short, but it is very interesting and well put together. You can't beat playing a multiplayer where at least a quarter of a million people are on at all times. You never have to wait more than 30 seconds to find a game. This game is sick... buy it!

I played through the campain the same week I purchased the game, took a total of 8 hours. Thought it was the best game I have ever played, and couldn't get any better. Then I experienced COD on Xbox Live, and it took the game to a whole new level. I will play this game for months to come!

Being a Desert Storm Veteran I think that the game is Out standing! It is so realistic and action oriented that you can hardly catch your breath before the enemy is right up on you. The game play, scenarios, weaponry, non stop action, story line is crazy. (I didn't like being involved in killing civilians in Russia) but I don't it wasn't any worse than grand theft auto or resident evil series games. I noticed that the enemy comes after you alot more in this game as opposed to the last one, you don't have points that you get to or by and the action just drops to nothing! The best game of all time in the war game catergory. If I was other comapanies trying to compete with them I would retire. It is estimated that Modern Warfare sold more than 4 milliion copies in 24 hours. 4 milllion at 60 dollars a unit, that is somewhere in the ballpark of 300+million in sales in a day! Who does that? No Company does that. It did more business in a day than any movie made in hollywood. Think about it!

online game play is alot like all the other call of duty games some of the graphics online could be better but over all the online game play i give it 9.5 out of 10 for the online game play as for the game its self i give it a 10 out of 10 all the graphics are outstanding all the weapon systems are easy to use there are alot of weapon systems to choose from and you can duel weald some weapons during normal game play more on the online aspect of the game you can control the helos you call in if you unlock it and you can call in alot more then just 3 different aircrafts like in the first modern warfare the game is costimizable it will blow your mind i fell in love with the game with in the first 3 min of playing it and i will never get bored with it cause there is so much to do in it the next one will be out before you can compleat everything in this one i do recommend buying this game to anyone who likes 1st or 3rd person shooters (yes there is 3rd person online game play)

Modern Warfare 2 picks up where MW left off, by basicly just refining the core gameplay that has been worked on since the first COD on PC. You run, you gun, and you get killed. The single player experience is a rollarcoaster of an FPS, and if you ever wanted a taste of what real combat is try the single player level Favela on Hardcore. However the twists become arbitrary and cliche, so it is by no means an amazing story. But its fun to play through. However the Multiplayer makes up for any shortcomings that the SP suffers, adding in RPG elements into the core RTS just like COD:MW. The elements and game balance are even better tuned now, and people will find they will be able to increase their level much faster now. In addition, those without Xbox live aren't left out of the leveling fun. They now can level a character offline separately, so everyone can make custom classes. Overall a great game, but if your reading this chances are you've already bought it.

The graphics are good, and the campaign is pretty fun. I haven't tried the special ops yet, but that should be cool too I guess. The online multiplayer is not as good as World at War, but it is still pretty fun I guess. The thing that bothers me most about this game is the fact that it is a little over the top at times. The act of walking into a crowded airport and just mowing down innocent people by the hundreds with huge machine guns is horrific, immoral, and plain irresponsible by infinity ward. We see more and more of these horrible acts actually happening in the world today, and there is no reason for this to be part of the game. I am typically not the person to complain about violence in a video game, because it is just a game. Well, this went WAY TOO FAR. It is actually kind of disgusting, and makes me feel bad for families involved in recent tragedies like this; i.e. Fort Hood, The incident in FL, Columbine....The game just goes too far.

i just got my prestige edition. night vision goggles and game both are great! It has most of the latest equipment used in Modern Wars, great weapons, more fun in split screen mode and in multiplayer. difficulty is very good, even in normal mode it is little harder than normal.

The campaign is short, but is so breathtakingly cinematic that it seems to work well enough with the brevity. Spec Ops is a new addition to the Modern Warfare series and is surprisingly addictive and is not just a hodge-podge collection of garbage missions. There is a whole experience waiting in Spec Ops that you can't find in the campaign or multiplayer. And speaking of multiplayer, it is the reason you're getting the game, surely. If it isn't, it's the reason you'll keep it. The depth and replayability of the multiplayer are unrivaled in any other game that I have ever played. The game is catered towards customization. However you like to play, the game rewards you for it. It is a hectic but exhilarating experience. All three modes in MW2 are their own separate entities and yet each one is done flawlessly. We will be playing this game for months and years to come.

this game is amazing. im not the best at it but it is easily the best game ive ever played. i love the multiplayer and the guns are awesome. i havent played CoD4 but i had WaW and this is way better. anyone with an xbox or ps3 should get this game. =D

MW2 is nothing less than stellar. Although it's a little short the story line is great one. The graphics never cease to impress along with the online play. Overall if you only get one game this holiday season, this will entertain for a long time.

This game was a very inticiptaed game. I thought it wasnt going to be that good but i was very impressed. This game is about 10 times better than they make it look. The online play is amazing with all the new perks and weapon attatchments.

I think this is the best game i've played yet. I did however get throught the campaign portion of the game very quickly. Graphics, movements, and weapons are great and a big step up from MW 1. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I really like this game. Good first person shooter with a lot of weapons and options to pursue. Great that they added the Spec Ops missions as the first game was short in overall lenght if you were not into the online gaming.

I was amazed when I got this game. The front navigation made me really want to hit Campaign. When I started I was iffy about it. After finishing it I'd say it's the best campaign I've ever played. The missions are so cool and realistic like climbing up the iceberg with picks one by one. No, it doesn't have a story like ODST. Needless to say they missed a lot of things. Why isn't there co-op campaign? Why is Special Ops only 2 players not 4-8? Didn't they realize people liked Zombies...Couldn't you of made it a little similar with missions of never ending waves so you can try to survive as long as possible? I would definitely get this game. It's a lot better than World at War and Modern Warfare 1. Although, Id keep my WAW because Zombies IMO beats Special Operations.

One of the best games I have played. Graphics are extraordinary, gameplay is realistic and the online multiplayer is a blast. I highly recommend this game.

Single player game is okay and the storyline is mediocre at best. I finished it in a day or so. It pretty much gets you ready for multiplayer, which is where I have most of my fun. Getting into a match is quick and easy. Wait times are around 1-2 minutes max. Maps are all laid out nicely. Buildings almost always have multiple entrances to keep you on your toes and have plenty of spots to snipe from. Plenty of weapons to choose from with the option to have 5 customizable gear setups. The gameplay is always fun and keeps me coming back for more. Cons: Could have a few more maps. (I'm sure there will be map packs soon) No option to select a map unless you host a private game. No organized system for guilds.

I have had MW2 since its launch and am so far very impressed overall. The online story mode is quite short (typically taking between 5 and 10 hours based on skill and difficulty), but provides a riveting story line, phenomenal graphics, and is a source of many hours of top notch game play. My favorite part of the game is its online multiplayer. Matchmaking is very fast with the Xbox live system. The graphics continue to be amazing and is very rarely that lag or disconnects interrupts the gaming experience. The customization and variety of weapons and attachments as well as the multitude of maps and game types along with numerous other FPS peripherals make this game a joy to play for hours on end.

it will be da best fps game with a killer online and offline gameplay. and theyre bringing back some great weapons like da p90 and adding some better ones like the bushmaster,and the kriss super v

CoD: MW2 was the best game I have experienced on Xbox LIVE, and one of the best I have played during the campaign. The graphics are movie-like, almost as if it is real life; it doesn't even look animated! Sometimes when I play it I forget its just a game because I get so into it, its like I'm really there! During the campaign, you can only play one-player, but there is a "special ops" game similar to campaign, where friends can play together. They are both realistic and fun. They are also both difficult to beat and even to stay alive! The campaign has real challenges, and its really straightforward about your objective and where you have to get to. BEST GAME EVER!!

this game is going to be awesome, the graphics are great, there is new weapons and weapon add ons... the LIVE content is going to be great. this game is a 5 star game..buy it..or preorder it
