Didnt take long to beat the game out of the box but it was made for online play which is fantastic. The new weapons, add ons, and capabilities are great updates to an already great game.

I was very excited about getting this game as I heard MW3 was practically a repeat of this game (however I may purchase MW3 in the near future). The gameplay is nearly flawless, you move smoothly, and it's a great overall experience when you're playing. My favorite part of the game is definetly the "Special Ops" mode. If you can't afford Xbox Live for the online multiplayer #which is pefect, the way you level up, the killstreaks, the customs you can create is very innovative and very fun# then this mode is what you'll find mostly exciting. There are a variety of missions to play and each one is challenging and extremely fun to play. You can either go solo or play with a friend. I recommend a second player because by doing that, you'll get the most out of the "Special Ops." The biggest flaw of this game is the single player Campaign. First off, there is no co-op like in World at War, so you're stuck playing by yourself even if you want to play with a friend. The story however, is extremely confusing and hard to keep up with. It is almost as if it doesn't make sense. The layout of the storyline is very random and you shift from one person to another trying to figure out what relation the last mission has to the current one. It's very short compared to other Call of Duty games as I was able to tackle it in mere hours. The Campaign was obviously not the focus on this project. Overall it is a great game but the story needs big adjustments.

Definitely better than all the other CoD games. The campaign picked up right where it left off and is very fun. Although somewhat short. Multiplayer is great with awesome new guns, perks, and customizable kill streaks. With only the terrible re-spawn points and minor glitches getting in the way. And Spec Ops is a huge step up from zombies, which was pretty fun. But with Spec Ops there's more things to do and has more of a point to it. The 'No Russian" mission seems to be making this game worse for some people. Sure it's wrong to kill civilians in a game. But it is a major part in the storyline making sense... and if you don't like it just skip it!!!

This is the best Call of Duty yet. Campaign play is awesome bringing back old faces and new realistic secnarios. I really dig the live gameplay with the new maps and wepon selections.

When i bought this game in November of 2009, I thought hey, Call of Duty, all right woohooo.. I purchased the game as soon as I could like any other anxious customer. As soon as I put the game in my Xbox, I fell addicted to it.. It was very fun... Until i prestiged.. Everything got boring... People were cheating.. The killsreaks were insanly overpowered.. You respawned in a location were the enemy is! Really "Team Deathmatch" Is not team deathmatch, its run around the map shooting everyone else, by camping in buildings, setting up claymores, and so forth.. Now for a new game, that people haven't really thought of at all. That is Battlefield Bad Company 2... A game most people say, "what is that??" Let me tell you this game, is 10 times more real, than MW2. This game requires straegy... You can't run out in the middle of a map, shooting a grenade launcher, and thinking you'll kill someone.. You can't snipe or camp in buildings.. For exmple.. You know how you can shoot a rocket launcher at a house in MW2 and nothing will happen to the building? Well in bad company, you can blow the **** out of walls, tell your buddies were the enemy is if you spot them, you can drive vehicles in Bad company.. (Tanks, ATV, humvees, choppers) You can heal your soldiers, no more getting shot and immediatly dying.. (MW2) And most of all it requires strategy.. You have to work together to win the game and get more points.. It is more fun overall, and i encourage everyone to get it, if you like MM2, but is sick of online play.. I thought the same thing.. "I'm not bying because of a review".. but trust me it is worth the money..

If you liked Modern Warfare one, you don't need this review, just buy this game. If you have not played Modern Warfare one, then simply bear in mind that this is a game about war against terrorist and military forces, wrapped up in an action movie style story, that most certainly will get your heart pounding at times. It is not a story for children, or at least not without parental supervision (that means being present during their playtime) because it will put them into morally emotional situations. Besides, if you play online, you will meet some morally questionable people anyway and ought to be an adult in the first place. :)

Anyone who can sit and play throgh this game in one sitting... literally had nothing else to do. I have read some reviews where people have stated that this was the case, and i would add-- that any time you can sit for 20hrs uninterupted playing a single game (any game)... should result in campaign completion. I mean, c'mon!!! A few hours at a time however... no way! Turn the game up to the maximum difficulty, and prepare to get your butt kicked!!! I thought this game had a lot to offer, and i look forward to playing the campaign and online for a long time to come. Its a definite must have for those who love shooters!

This game has a crazy multiplayer that's very addicting and has a whole lot more stuff then the previous Call of Dutys. The campaign is also pretty intense. It has a lot of cool improvements and is a great game to have.

I would highly recomend this game to anyone who likes action! The graphics are insane in this game, and you're constantly on the edge of your seat. If you're not posing as a terrorist in an airport, or dodging bullets on rooftops, you're sliding through windows, hanging off cliffs and blasting down doors with C4 and clearing the rooms like real life. I love the new additions to the game, like the thermal sights and heartbeat sensors for your weapons, not to mention the "Bling" perk in the game (I won't spoil it, you'll just have to buy it and find out!). Overall rating for this game is a 10 out of 10! GO GET IT!!!

Call of Duty created another huge hit! Continuing from the prior modern warfare, its time to step in the shoes of another ranger and protect the world which we called ours from the danger of terrorism. Step into the slums and even claim back DC in campaign defeating hundreds of terrorists attempting to destroy all mankind. If your not envisioning campaign, pair up with another friend or by yourself and be entertained by single missions challenging the players ability to fight. Then, ofcourse the greatest characterstic of the game, Multiplayer. Hours of fun awaits you when you buy Modern Warfare 2.

This new edition to the Call Of Duty Franchise by Infinity Ward and Activision was a great sucess from the premiere of the first teaser trailer, all the way to the multiplayer trailers. This game is a definate buy for everyone. Not only is the single player campaign action packed, but the online multiplayer is phenomenal. I recommend this game to anyone who is new to the series, to those who have played every single game in the franchise. Modern Warfare 2 is a great buy for a Christmas present, or just getting the game to have a great time with the thrills and chills of the realistic gameplay.

I enjoyed playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 but, when I play it I don't feel that same experience from COD4.Yeah number 2 has better graphics but I just feel the gameplay doesn't beat COD4's.My little brother got COD MW reflex and I feel that gameplay is better the Modern Warfare 2.For some reason I play my little brother's COD MW reflex online more than Modern Warfare 2.I feel Reflex has a better controll experience.The only thing I enjoy about Modern Warfare 2 is the new weapons, sound effects, and graphics.Gameplay online beats the story mode but I felt kind of disappointing.

I think Battlefield Bad Company 2 is gonna be better. The only reason it wont sell more is cause of popularity and name. Call of Duty is like Halo or Madden, people know it cause of the name. Doesnt mean that its all around better, just more popular, LIKE the Dallas Cowboys. HATE EM. I think this game will have its advantages but i think if they really want to compete, try taking it to the next level. Bad Company 2 looks amazing. Graphically better, more action, stages look more realistic, destructible environments and get to drive tanks, 4 wheelers, Anit Aircraft, fly choppers and jets....many other things also. This game will be good but if you want a Amazing online experience, go with Bad Company 2 in March.

Game campaign was amazing, as well as Special Ops ( Single or 2 Player missions). Multiplayer Online is the best i have ever played and graphics are amazing

Solid and outstanding campaign, multiplayer, and other additions (spec. ops). Infinity Ward might win the Game of the Year award again with this great game.

Pretty good game. Wish the campaign was longer but it still was great. Feels like your in a movie almost. Also, the multiplayer on xbox live is awesome!

Very intense campaign storyline. The graphics are great especially with other CoD games. AI is better and smarter making your high difficulties more of a challenge. New Spec Ops CO-OP mode is great. Multiplayer is vastly improved from Modern Warfare and World at War. Few new features, load-outs are more customizable then before, more challenges, Killstreak reward system is FANTASTIC and they added new game modes. Please don't listen to reviews of people comparing this to another PC game. For the Xbox this game is great and a must have in the collection.

great story. even if u don't have a live account the black ops missions are a blast after you have beat the story especially if u play with friends.even though cheaters and hacks have invaded xbox live play it is still a blast

My kid got this...and I think he likes it and stuff 'cause he plays it a lot. When he gets killed in the online version he gets upset, which means he's passionate about it, but it's not like he gets violent or anything. But at least he takes an interest in something. Unlike bathing, because he plays it so much he's beginning to neglect those basic things. Like in that South Park episode...where they were playing that online game...and Cartman got larger and larger, and that scary guy was cheating. You know, that episode where Kenny dies? Yeah. That one.

I bought this for my husband for our anniversary. He plays it almost everyday with friends online. I enjoy watching him play and it's actually very enjoyable to watch. I'm not a video game player type unless is very user friendly like wii and such. I did try to play this game because it seems very challenging and fun to play but I still can't get the hang of the controller. Hopefully some day my hubby will grow enough patience to sit with me another two hours or until I get the hang of it... Overall great game if you want your partner well entertained!
