Having played this on the PS2, I enjoyed this version better. The ability to speed up battles and the decreased loading time when getting into and out of battle makes all the difference in being able to complete the game.

Being able to speed up the battle animations and see the enemies on screen so you choose to fight or not are just a few of the changes welcome to this release. It has a very nice feel and you can tell care was given to this version. The only downside of this release is that the charm of the gorgeous art from the original game is lost a little due to the limits of the 3DS hardware, which is a bummer. It's not enough to ruin the experience, though.

The game is enjoyable. However, I wish that Best Buy offered some kind of pre-order incentive with it.

This is my first DQ title and I'm honestly in love. The characters are lovable and despite the battle system being a simple turn-base I really had fun with it. Highly recommend to anyone looking to expand on their RPG library

Improves on every aspect of the original game and adds a compelling story that wraps up Kat's tale.

VIII is Great Again. DQ series is one of the best JRPG Series of all time. Worth every penny.

The series has been around since 1986. Game series is just too good to pass up.

wooo one of my favorite if not the favorite game of ps2 era now portable , i know the world was bland and a bit empty even on the ps2 ver but idk the scenery made me happy and calm so yes awesome game

As a fan of the PS2 version, buying this was a no brainer. I love the changes they made to this version of the game: Monsters populating the world map, New playable characters, and the photo quests even.

Dragon Quest Heroes Is a great game to unwind to whilst traveling.

Great remake of a PS2 classic, I just wish it had 3D functionality!

This is an awesome tweaked update to the Playstation 2 classic Dragon Quest 8. This is the optimal way to play it. It's even got new playable characters the old version doesn't.

It's a good game of you loved the jrpgs from back in the ps2 days
