I bought this game for something to keep me occupied before Modern Warfare 3 came out and I was pleasantly surprised. There are a ton of weapons, lots of strategy, and a huge open world. I would recommend this game for anyone who likes long storylines and open world settings. I'll be checking out the other games in this series soon.

Most reading this have probably played Fallout 3. If you haven't, grab that one as well! Both are worth every dollar spent. I won't go into the story too much, it's on the back of the box and there isn't much too it w/o spoiling it :) It follows the basic story telling and leveling mechanics as Fallout 3. You level by executing (and I say that because nothing is Better than a vats head shot!) enemies and leveling up. As you level, you are able to put points into a variety of skills from bartering to stealth. You are able to have a maximum 2 companions at once (one human one robotic). You cannot level them up, but they do level with you and each have their own strengths and weaknesses. Onto the DLC. I enjoyed most of them, three of the four to be exact. The story with the DLCs made it feel like they could of been thrown in with the vanilla version, which is expected. I hate DLCs that entirely change the feel of a game. You want more guns and head explosions, right? Yes. I didn't care for the Sierra madre DLC in the pack. It just seemed like an entire other team created it... It was overly dark and the story wasn't as engaging in my opinion... If you enjoyed fallout 3, or enjoy a great story telling RPG (and can deal with some glitches and quest bugs), this is probably the game for you. I played thru it twice, and for a game this large you can probably fit 50 hours into 1 play through... -AgtJ

This is a great game with a vast area for you to explore but the problem for me is that this game freezes quite a bit. turn off auto save helps but still freezes.

Great game for those who love the Fallout series and rig games. It's basically Elder Scrolls with guns and takes places in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The graphics and audio are very good. Controls are easy to learn and use. Gameplay is fun and challenging. It's a game with a lot of personality.

After playing Fallout 3 then Fallout 4, I came back around to play Fallout: New Vegas. I think NV might be the best of the bunch, with great storyline and always fantastic RPG gameplay. Must play for Bethesda, Fallout, or RPG fans.

great game! the wasteland you roam is huge and very unpredictable. Almost every inch of the wasteland is playable along with most of the buildings. there are several difficulty settings ranging from easy to hardcore for all skill levels. I personally installed the game to my hard drive in order for the game to run a little smoother. Almost every action taken in the wasteland has a reaction. if you attack a certain faction they'll remember you and possibly try to attack you on sight. If you haven't played Fallout 3 i highly recommend you pick that game up as well, however take into account that fallout new Vegas doesn't pick up after fallout 3.

This is a great game to play because there is so much stuff to do. I have played it for a long time and i still haven't finish exploring everything.

If you haven't played Fallout 3, start there. You can get the Greatest Hits Fallout 3 Game of the Year for twenty bucks. The only real knock against this was it had to try and live up to Fallout 3, which is near impossible. This is still one of the better RPG's I have played this generation, and getting the game with the DLC is a must as the DLC is more enjoyable than the main game. Great game, recommended.

Bethesda did a great job of expanding the fallout series with New Vegas it has different enemies, different guns, Weapon Mods, and Hardcore Mode.

Wanted to finally continue my struggles in the wasteland. I had heard from my cousin that this was a great release so I bought it and have been happy to get back into the Fallout world.
