This game met all my expectations for the fire emblem series.

This was my first Fire Emblem game I played, and let me tell you, it really got me hooked on the gameplay mechanics. Though I've heard from others that this installment in particular cleaned up and refined the combat system to it's best out of the whole series. So if you're new too, you might want to start with this game. Anyhow, it's got a surprisingly dramatic story and has got a great art style and music to boot with it. I like the Birthright version in particular because it follows the side that's more traditional-Japanese, which I totally love. Also, if you're waiting for this game to go on sale, I'd have to say good luck on that. Based on how many times the last installment went on sale, I think Gamer's Unlocked is the best way to buy this game.

Im a huge fire emblem fan and this one does not disappoint

Being a fan of the Fire Emblem series, I was happy with Fates. The gameplay is not as ground-breaking as it was in Awakening, but it improves on most aspects of it. I highly recommend it to any strategy/RPG fan!

Great strategy game with diverse characters and abilities

Fire Emblem has always been a great series and this one is no different. Commonly seen as the "easiest" part of this whole story, Birthright does a great job of setting the scene and does very well to set the stage for you to play the other two storylines. I'd recommend picking this one up first for all but the most hardcore players.

Thrilled to see a new Fire Emblem game. Same classic gameplay, nice to have the option to be able to play and not permanently lose your troops.

It's a great strategy RPG game very fun and enjoyable

Big fan of Awakening, I've finished it at least 3 times, I think I have over 100+ hours. If you're an Awakening fan, then you probably have this already. If you're not then this is a great game, with an engaging story and a simple (but hard at times) turn based system. I associate the game with chess but each character has their own unique fighting style, abilities and damage stats. So it's not really chess per se, but it is tactical minded. Birthright its supposed to be "easier" to play than Conquest, I don't really know if this is true, but it's what Nintendo is saying, but nonetheless I intend to play all of them, Birthright, Conquest and Revelations, in that order. It's a great 3DS, I highly recommend it.
