we couldn't get this to work with our xbox one.....

This is fine for adult gaming but is not suitable for kids under 18.

Not my cup of tea but to each his own! Grab it if you like the series.

I have never been a big gears fan but for $10 it was worth it

low skill first person shooter. beat the game in about 2 days

My son doesn't like this game, he says its really hard.

Worth it at $10 don't pay anything more. Very weak content.

Haven't played this version yet but gears is a classic

The story line is a little slow but manageable....

Gears of War is a fun series, but it’s getting a little stale. But the time this version came out I was kinda over it. Ended up selling my XBOX after playing this. I think there are more enjoyable and engaging games out there.

...will let you explode your enemies head with the torque bow, saw your enemies body in half with the lancer, and explode multiple enemies at once with the boom shot: Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Gears changed the game years ago, and we must all pay homage to the greatness of the original game, pick up this remastered edition, and blow each others heads/bodies to bits!

I thought revisiting this would be fun considering I thought part 4 sucked and well, the whole series just hasnt aged well.

This is a beautiful remaster of the original gears. Campaign is exactly like the first one except in stunning HD, plus online multiplayer and co-op. If you liked the first one, you'll love this remaster for the one. However, I have noticed several glitches while playing the game. Once I was stuck in the chainsaw animation like I was getting killed but I didn't actually die, sometimes dead bodies spin on the ground a few times and I've noticed some minor graphical/loading glitches. Stuff like that. Multiplayer is good but the matching could be better. Overall I'd give it a 4.5. A really awesome game.

I just played the beta and I gotta say so far i'm impressed. The online is really good. Plus it's not like a quick remake, they took they're time to make the graphics great for the xbox, started from the ground up and it's only 40 dollars. I'm Excited to play the full game when it comes out, while I wait for the GEARS 4.

This game is much improved over the original. I know its still early in the life of the Xbox one. But these graphics are top notch. But that isn't what traps you here. Its the story. You actually feel vested with your team members. The first character I lost that put me in charge let me know this is something special. I cannot wait for 4 to come out. But until then this will satisfy your appetite. Xbox wins again!

In this game locked up my Xbox on install. Then caused other applications to freeze up and not work ever again. Unknown if it was the disk or the system dying who knows.

The characters and enemies look really good in this current remaster of an epic and classic adventure that sci-fi fans fell in love with in the early 2000’s. The gameplay is fun and the story is addicting!

I used to be a Gears of War fan before I took a serious (4 years) break in gaming. I played the Beta and I have to say this game has beautiful graphics and gameplay mechanics. If you loved any of the Gears games, take a chance with this one and I'm sure you'll love it. Brings back so many memories but in all their remastered glory...
