I enjoy this story again with the enhanced graphics and extra story.

My son really liked this on his Xbox One. The game play was solid.

Great 3rd person shooter in a world full of first person shooters.

I am new to Gears of War and I must say I enjoy this game. I was frustrated with a couple instances where the game glitched during the part od the game where you're driving the vehicle on the bridge. While driving the vehicle randomly fell through the bridge and I had to restart from the check point. Also, you side kick tends to continuously walk into walls.

GOW is a must buy for any Xbox one owner. I really wish they would have remastered all of the previous gears of war games on one collection but they will be available once backward compatibility is comes out so I can't really complain. Arguably my favorite shooter of all time.

Gears of War was great from its debut on xbox360...the revamp adds more detail and just makes you fall in love with the game again...must buy at such a low price point

"Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition" is essentially the first Gears Of War game that was released on Xbox 360 back in 2006–except with updated graphics and a few campaign segments that were only in the PC version at the time. That's pretty much it. Everything else is stuck in 2006...I really wish they updated the gameplay mechanics to that of Gears Of War 4 standards (and perhaps included a horde mode). However, if you want to revisit the first Gears' game this is the definitive way to do it. The frame-rate and graphical detail is much better than the 360 port currently offered on Xbox Live...and at the bargain price it's hard to pass up. It's just a shame they didn't remaster the whole trilogy ala the "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

Great game but also the same game as the original gears of War.

If you like the other gears game you should give this one a try.

So I bought this to play online with friends. It is ok but so far the lag issues have been many in number. I played this when it came out back in 2005 and loved the campaign, but now as a modern gamer who wants to play with friends, it has been a little tiresome to get the game going.

The Xbox One System is a great gaming platform and the new Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a great addition to my gaming library. The Xbox system is continually being updated and improved which I appreciate.

Upgraded graphics are spot on. A great way to relive a classic.
