Game is awesome, Best Buy's the problem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've lost my respect that I had for Best Buy. It could be the Colorado Ave store that is garbage and not all of the Best Buy's but either way, they have managed to make me not a fan of them anymore.

Disappointing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.343 really botched this game, controls are absolutely abysmal, story goes nowhere and is full of Mary Sue characters and the multiplayer feels lacking in modes.

only online co-op
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that I’m a big fan of all of the Halo games. I’ve purchased every game ever made and I always looked forward to the next. The new incarnation of Halo is good, but also very disappointing. They have made great improvement to the graphics, controls and overall game play. The problem I have with it is that there is only online co-op. What ever happen to split screen co-op with your friends from home? That is one of the things that set Halo apart from the other franchises. Split screen is what makes Halo so great and they took it away from us. These days they are making it to where you have no choice but to play multiplayer only online. Do the companies not realize that split screen is what make game so good? There are times you just want to sit back and play with you friends or family members from home. Gaming companies need to realize that people not only want to play multiplayer online but also at home. Games like these are better co-op, and you shouldn't have to log online to do it. I can tell you this is a great game if you want to play from your home by yourself. The bottom line is that if you enjoy playing games with your friends together at home, then this isn’t your game.

Terrible yet again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Played an online game in which all controls were reversed...another reason to never get a game made by this developer on launch day.

Great Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The solo campaign was short and too the point. On heroic I finished faster than any other previous Halo and I prefer it this way. In the past I always got bored and confused with where the story was going. The story was easier to follow than previous Halo installments and the levels were beautiful. Online multi-player has renewed my enjoyment of the Halo series. Being able to run and aim down the sights has added to the experience of feeling like a person and becoming one with the game. I used to get motion sick while playing Halo, and I always suspected it was because Halo was in 30 FPS, but the move to 60 FPS for this Halo has confirmed it. No more motion sickness.

Don't believe the bad reviews!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There's a lot of pushback against Halo 5, and I'm at a loss to explain why. For starters, this is one of the best campaigns of any Halo game. If you enjoy vehicles, 10 of the 12 combat levels (there are 3 non-combat levels too) feature vehicles. The action is tight and the game is well paced. Just when you may be getting bored with what you're doing, the game gives you something new and exciting to do. There's a lot of replay value here. And when you're not playing single-player, check out the new Warzone mode. It has it's frustrations, but it's chaotic, rewarding fun. The mode puts you against other players AND enemy AI enemies with a ton of vehicles and power weapons thrown into the mix. Don't miss it. As for some of the complaints, yes, the story ends on a cliffhanger. Halo 2 did the same. At the time, it was an outrage, but now Halo 2 is widely viewed as one of the best campaigns out there. It also doesn't feature the Master Chief prominently. He's here, but you'll only play as him for about three of the 12 combat missions. But Spartan Locke is a decent stand-in and aided by Edward Buck from ODST (voiced expertly by Nathan Fillion) it's easy to care just as much for Team Osiris as Master Chief's crew. The most substantive complaint is that there is no split-screen play. It's true that's a significant loss, particularly for those who routinely play couch co-op, but it's hardly a deal killer. I usually play online with friends and the co-op opportunities in Halo 5 are significant. You can now jump in and jump out of a friend's game with ease, taking the role of a squadmate. My hope is that 343 works to restore split-screen play with the release of Halo 6, mostly so I can play it with my son and daughter when they're old enough. But for now, just now that Halo 5 is a highly polished experience. The game runs smooth even when throwing lots of enemies at you, the campaign is fast paced and fun, and the multiplayer is innovative and fresh. If you like Halo and aren't too upset about losing split-screen co-op, you'll probably love it.
