    THIS GAME IS GOOD

I really dont care about split screen issue, never like playing on the same screen as half shared. I play single player, story is short, but good. Action level is high with good graphics. Nothing so new from the 4th game, just better graphics, different story, great cut scenes. But I wish they made the 4th game as 5, new gen game. 4th ones story was a lot better than 5 and longer campaign. Thats why I m giving 4 stars.

Both the single player campaign and multiplayer are great, especially warzone which is like a hybrid of campaign and arena.

The master chief collection was horrible for multiplayer, but this update has no such problems thus far. The single player story is a bit lacking and all over the map, as you try to grasp a solid story from two perspectives, but is fun to play through if given little thought. Those looking for a solid, epic, bungie story...will be left wanting. As for the multiplayer, thus far it is solid, with very few issues..if any.

The pre-owned disc doesn't work, so no playability was ensured. I know buying a pre-owned comes with a risk, but it shouldn't when Best Buy says "playability ensured".

I love the Halo franchise and this iteration did not disappoint. The company has even done a great job of supporting the game with free content post release. Great mission/story, and the multiplayer is some of the best there has been in the franchise. Worth your money. This Halo is also obviously the most beautiful as its the first real entry this generation.

I give it 5 stars not because I think it's perfect, but because I think it's strengths pull a lot of weight. The story of the single player campaign doesn't quite gel, it requires too much outside knowledge, leaves too many threads hanging, and doesn't do a good job of setting making you believe in the motivations of many of the characters. In short it's the weakest story since Halo 2. But I did quite in enjoy the gameplay, and much of the encounter and level design. It does however rely quite heavily on a repeated boss encounter that features little to no variation whenever it pops, and there are some strange sections where you just walk around and talk to people, these feel a bit like there was a broader idea for them that never came together. But these are brief segments between some wonderful action set pieces. It won't convert the cynics, but it's fun all the same. The multiplayer is the best since Halo 3. You can jump into tight fast paced 4v4 matches, or large scale warzones with multiple objectives. The gameplay rewards, practice and game knowledge, encounters are not determined by who has the better loadout. And with the recent addition of big team battle, and the upcoming forge mode, along with all the maps being free, it stands to get better.

    Best All-around Halo Game

Multiplayer is the highlight of this game. The ranking system and matchmaking is the best I've experienced in an online FPS. And the best part: no season pass!! All future DLC is free! The campaign is a joy to play as well, even though the majority of it is playing as Spartan Locke instead of Master Chief. The enjoyable gameplay makes up for it. Buy it now!

This, in my opinion is what Halo 4 should have been. It is a good game with good multiplayer and relatively balanced. I wish that they would have had a casual ranking system (Similar to Halo: Reach) along with their skill-based ranks. The campaign is gripping and challenging, but not impossible.

I like playing the online multiplayer, but I honestly bought this to play split screen with my gf, and now we cant unless we have 2 xbox ones. I am very disappointed, since it doesn't hurt to have this capacity for when you have people over your house and want to play at the same time.

I got the MCC when I bought my Xbox one and I thought it was alright. I was more excited about getting Halo 5 and I was not disappointed at all! It looks super good and the Multiplayer is awesome! The single player isn't bad, it's just a severe middle of the story kinda campaign. Overall, I am very happy with the game.

I absolutely hated Halo 4. Because of this, I was skeptical at first about this game. But then I heard about Warzone and I just knew I had to pick this up. It's fantastic, period. From the campaign to the multiplayer and the servers, everything about this game is perfect. Much better than Halo 4. Thank you 343.

Not THE BEST Halo, but still a good buy

I did get this on release day (thanks for the extra goodies BB at launch). I should be honest with what made this 4 and not 5 stars. It's one of the weakest campaigns ever. That shouldn't suggest there was no fun to be found, but there was serious imbalance and gameplay mechanics that were at times frustrating. The story was at best good, but not normally mind-blowing. The multi-player is certainly the main attraction here. 343 does deserve props for what they've done here with the content. Not only the content, but also presentation, and variance with timely items. OH! Free DLC has been another great thing too that does give a good one-up here. Post-Bungie, 343 has been a mixed bag with some stumbles, but my optimism says they're on the right track. They do need to work out some things, but chances are they will one day make a great title in the vain of CE and Reach. PS - I am not ashamed to spend extra on the soundtrack!

Most fun and best Halo game I have ever played

    Posted .

I have played every single Halo game that has released to date, and from the beginning when I first privately tested this Halo game I was thoroughly impressed with it. When I say impressed, I mean it was immediately the most fun I've had playing any Halo game, ever. A lot of people are giving this game a lot of flack for no reason. Halo has always taken some sort of skill for multiplayer, so that might be tough for some to get used to but at the same time I guarantee you will have fun doing so regardless. The storyline may seem a little weak to some, or dragged on for others, but either way the Halo world is set to be around for a long time in the same way Star Wars has and will be so far. I wouldn't give this game a full five stars because it still needs heavy balancing and tweaks to it. The way they are approaching the whole weekly voting for additional playlists is also complete garbage. Just add more game modes permanently, 343!

Loved the game. It really takes Halo to another level, so different than the previous Halos that it doesnt feel like halo sometimes. There should have been a splitscreen multiplayer. Other than that, good graphic, ok story and an interesting game play all together. Enjoy!

343 industries did a great job reinventing halo, while still keeping it feeling like a Halo game. I've been playing Halo since original Xbox in 2001, and I think this is a much better Halo game than Halo 4 was. Fun campaign, and awesome multiplayer with tons of free maps and game modes coming.

This game is the latest installament to the bungie series of Halo. It's the best one so far. It has new character moves and new weapons too. Lots to do in story mode and the story is enjoyable too. Online gaming is extremely competitive but it's leveled to your own skills.

I haven't played this game for that many hours yet but so far I can say it's a great game. The campaign seems to be a lot of fun and so does the multiplayer but be prepared for beat downs online if your new to the franchise like me.

I'm currently playing this on my Xbox One X. Highly recommend as the 4k high definition patch really enhances the overall graphics over the base console. The game runs perfectly and plays great! This is a really fun game!

Multiplayer is awesome. Story is fun but the story telling isnt up to par of others. Lots of lore from the books not explained the best. If you read the books youll love it.
