Halo 5
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game for xbox one for my teens and they love it! It seems about as real as it can get. It's action packed and has met all of their expectations in a game. It's the best Halo game they have played so far.

Great Halo MP and a good campaign
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MP is great. Smooth gameplay and with dedicated servers, lag factor is minimized. The solo campaign is good and the length is just right. It has 4 player co-op, which is great if you have friends to enjoy it with.

Best Halo In The Last Few Years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is definitely the "next gen" installment the Xbox One needed. It looks and plays great. If you enjoyed the previous Halo games you will certainly enjoy this one especially when it comes to the multiplayer.

Most Fun Halo Gameplay Yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story is a bit lacking, but the campaign remains a ton of fun due to the best gameplay the franchise has seen. New tweaks and changes to multiplayer make this the best multiplayer experience since Halo 2.

A gift for my nephews

Good but could be much better.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a long time player of the Halo series, I decided to try this game out with some friends after convincing me to purchase an Xbox One X console. The gameplay is much better than the previous editions of the title however the arenas/maps that are playable in the multiplayer rounds online leave a LOT to be desired. Once of the inviting factors I have always enjoyed with this title are the opportunities to play in vehicles, well the arenas/maps are so tight and confined it makes it difficult to truly enjoy the experience in a vehicle. In addition, these maps/arenas have a very generic feel to them. Mostly they look and feel they were built and designed by amateurs making their own custom maps on a previous generation console. To make matters worse, the matchmaking is horrible when you are partied up with friends as usually you or one of your friends will not be included in a game you are all selected to play. Apparently this has been one of the many bugs that has plagued this game since the beginning. Sometimes you are resorted to reload the game to get in or even reboot the console altogether. Pretty sad for a game 5 years old that the bugs still plague this game and are not being addressed. As a result I cannot recommend this game for anyone looking for a good multiplayer experience with friends.

Great Halo multiplayer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a huge halo fan for a while now and Halo 5 didn't disappoint. The multiplayer in Halo 5 is one of the franchise best. The campaign on the other hand felt a bit short.

Endless fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve played countless hours of this game and will play countless more. It’s still overall a classic halo game but with some newer features and they don’t ruin anything.

Gameplay is good..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I enjoy the gameplay itself, but having never been a big online multiplayer gamer, I was extremely disappointed to learn they did away with split-screen mode and Co-Op campaign from a single console. That was the only way I ever really enjoyed playing Halo. I do not get to play often enough, thus I am not good enough, to bother with or really enjoy the online multiplayer. I've been loyal to XBOX though solely because of the Halo series, so I am hoping they bring back split-screen mode for the next release.

great graphics and gameplay!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics are amazing! New abilities are cool. Would have been 5 stars if local co-op was not taken away. My nephew loved to play local co-op on previous Halo games.

Amazing graphics and even more amazing GAME!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game takes me back to the first four (Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach) when it was way more simple then Halo 4, it's basically Halo 2 & Halo 3! This game is great for beginner Halo fans!

Buggy, Microtransactions, and rehashed bosses.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Are you are a absolute Halo Fan boy? Then this is right up your alley. If your looking for a decent FPS, move along. Halo 5 is well, junk. Campaign will take you on the high side, 8 hours to complete and doesn't really give you many answers. The multiplayer is really fun, and exciting....until it crashes, or the people who shelled out $70 for DLC wreck you with their advanced starting guns. Did you want that really cool armor set? Well you better hope RNG system loves you, because it will take you 680 hours to unlock all the armor pieces. You don't earn them in anyway other than requestion perks (Microtransactions currency). Which hey, gives your BR the ability to melt people's faces...unless you know, you didn't buy a ton of stuff, or didn't drop for you. Then you get to face a person, who spent money to have an edge on you. This game was released unfinished and broken. Getting stuck in black screens, having your sound cut out, or the game totally freezing, but not allow you to quit it. Will suck all the fun you could have in multiplayer straight out of it. This game does have tons of potential, and has added some really unique new features to Halo. It could do a lot, but it seems like it was pushed out before testing, and they basically plan to try and fix it later. Wait a while, then buy it once they have patched everything. Then this might be a 4 star game, but RNG ruins everything, especially when it stops being "cosmetic only".

Stunned (in a bad way)
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After the perpetually long wait for a TRUE next gen peek at what the Master Chief is bringing in this most recent installment I am completely and utterly disappointed. I, unlike I suppose everyone else that read all of the blogs and forum posts about this upcoming title, didn't even think to check if local multiplayer would be offered in this game before purchasing because, to me, it was a no brainer. I mean, come on....it's HALO...the franchise that pretty much invented multiplayer FPSs...just because all of our systems our internet connected these days doesn't mean people don't still enjoy classic, split-screen multiplayer on the same couch with a couple of their closest friends or relatives! We are just going to toss the capability to the side as a unnecessary "luxury"? In fact, I would say in a series like Halo, it is absolutely a requirement to continue the tradition. I find this aspect in the evolution of gaming deeply dissatisfying. The promotion of gamers, and children of gamers to hole up in dark rooms alone, chatting away at people they can't see and many times don't know instead of the enjoyment of 4 players on a big screen, screen-peeking, and trash talking until the wee hours of the morning. And don't give me that "online multiplayer is playing with other people and being social!". NO, it's not...no matter how much online interaction you have, it is not real life...it is listening to 8 year olds that shouldn't even own a copy of a game like this, scream obscenities and be completely and utterly obnoxious to the point that the button tree combo to get to enable "mute all" is permanently engrained in our muscle memory as a result of being forced to do it at the start of every match. I get it though I suppose, after all, having 3 extra controllers is way more expensive than having to use up another TV in my home, buy an extra Xbox One, second Xbox Live membership#thanks to the next gen membership "re-structuring" #, and another copy of the game just so me and my son and I can play together is WAAAAYYY cheaper...oh wait...no it isn't.... I understand this is a non-issue to most single gamers that don't have kids, and I guess that is where the industry is choosing to focus their attention, but as a classic gamer raised on a NES and now raising 3 gamers of my own, this "death" of the local multiplayer world has pretty much just solidified my stance that FPS's are now completely worthless to me. They want to make more money by forcing everyone to have a copy on their own individual XB1? Seems to me that alienating the entire demographic of "gamer families", with relatively higher median incomes than your average 18-32 yr old single gamer is a gutsy play. It's Microsoft, so they will do what they want and still make a ridiculous amount of money, but for this franchise, removing the one aspect of the game my son and I were actually looking forward to is appalling. If I could return it I would, and I won't buy another game that has a '1' on the back of the box next to the number of players, probably for the rest of my life.

20yr old son loved it til the next game release.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't understand quite, probably never will.. how my son is such a Gamer yet destroys the game (beats them) in 1-3 days usually. He waits months and months on end and then bammo! Now, he did not turn this one in for credit (yet) as of 01/18/2016 and that's saying something... he keeps it on hand for when he has friends over at his man pad. From a Mom perspective, he did get a great value when broken down to a by the hour enjoyment cost analysis so I give it a 4. Would be a 4.5 but they don't have that... I reserve 5's for when he says it's a KEEPER (few of those anymore).
