Single-player is decent. It moves the series forward in a way fans should appreciate, and does a good job setting up the future story arc. It's online where the game really shines. After playing Halo 5 for a week and a half, I tried to play Black Ops 3, and went back after less than a day. The dedicated server experience is that much better than the same peer-hosted dreck that ActiVision has been spoon-feeding gamers for the past decade.

The graphics are amazing and the team of Spartans is a gears of war style play that I enjoyed.

Multiplayer is a blast best thing since, halo 2 mp. The campaign is where is lacks as you only play master chief for 3 missions and mainly about spartan lock and his squad. Also, AI's are brain dead especially when you are down and they die along with you. Lack of splitscreen ruins it as I played all halos with my spouse.

Great graphics and great gameplay. My only complaint is lack of splits creen co-op.

My kids (11 and 9) have enjoyed this game. Good story. Enjoyable. Pretty kid-friendly for a shooter

I'm not a huge Halo fan, but I had to purchase this just since it is an exclusive and my XBOX One was getting lonely. I have yet to play multiplayer but I played through the campaign. I think the campaign was slightly better than 3 and 4, but was relatively short and not that memorable (to me at least). Halo is mostly about online play, though, I think so that should provide some extra value.

I've played every single halo since halo 1 and this has to be my least favorite. The story like is great but kind of hard to follow. The multiplayer is fun but the maps repeat themselves way to often. The online game modes lack in comparison to the the previous halos. Still a fun game to play but call of duty is better.

Halo 2 got me hooked years ago in college. Every halo after 3 just wasn't the same and didn't get me hooked. I've come to terms that it will never be the same for various reasons. I purchased with hesitation and a sour taste in my mouth. With a few hours logged it's apparent 343 put thought and effort into 5. The result was a great game...unlike their last attempt. Hopefully their efforts will continue to improve for years to come.

Updated graphics controls and multiplayer makes this a fantastic addition to the halo franchise.

This is the best looking Halo ever, and the most fun in multiplayer I have had in a long long time.

Campaign was good, multi-player was fun. Halo looks much better on the Xbox 1!
