Customers appreciate the updated graphics and the improving online multiplayer. Many enjoy the amount of content, including multiple campaigns and creative stories, especially considering the price. However, some customers have noted issues with online play, bugs, lag, and the large download size. Overall, the collection seems to be well-received despite these drawbacks.

The Master Chief Collection is currently one of the best deals out there for XBOX One owners and Halo/first person shooter fans. You get four, full games for only $60 as well as access to the Halo 5: Multiplayer Beta when it opens in December. The graphics, menus and overall experience is excellent. The only downside is the fact that the game's online matchmaking has been plagued by problems such as long lobby waits and spotty connections to the host but Microsoft and 343 have both responded quickly and efficiently by applying some server-side updates (hooray for no updates required by the user!) and as of this writing, matchmaking wait times have decreased significantly and will only get better.
Verdict: Whether you buy it today or hold out for (possible) Black Friday sales, you will definitely get the right amount of bang for your buck!

We've waited through terrible Call of Duty sequels after sequels and watched as they've gotten more and more silly and unplayable while we've waited for a hero to arrive. Halo 5 is not that hero, but thank heaven for real Halo fans this collection of real Halo games came out to save us from the Call of Duty copy Halo 5 became. I bought this initially for the Halo 5 beta and cried myself to sleep every night after the Beta like I did when the Muppet Band Broke up due to creative differences, but then I remembered this wonderful piece of nostalgic awesomeness was worth so much more. Halo 2 and Halo 3 are by far the best to just sit back and enjoy once 343 studios got their heads out of their butts and fixed matchmaking. Bungie is missed.... but I will be okay because of this game

This game is great. If you are a Halo fan and owned the previous titles on the Xbox and Xbox 360, this is a must buy. They updated the games and multiplayer is still awesome. For the price, there is too much to pass up. A must buy

I bought the Master Chief Collection for XBOX ONE because I love the Halo trilogy and love being able to play through the campaigns whenever I want. The updates for Halo 2 anniversary are just gorgeous. I'm loving it!

I got this on sale for about $20. At that price you're getting good value for the $. 4 games with upgraded visuals what is there not to like. If you haven't played any of these this is the package to get.

The best halos in one package is truly amazing. Upgraded graphics (for Halo 2 only) and updated resolutions for all make this a must have for Halo lovers and all Xbox owners. Comes with all the multiplayer content.

Awesome collection! I’ve never played any Halo games before, other than the occasional multiplayer at a friend’s house, so I figured I’d pick this up and get up to date with the storyline. I must say that I’ve been blown away! I recently got a Series X and there was an update that enhanced the graphics and frame rate (oh the frame rate!!!).
Also it included a redemption code for Halo Nightfall, which looks to be a TV series that you can access through the Halo Channel App on your XBox. This was totally unexpected but a really nice bonus! I definitely got my money’s worth!

For any Halo fan, this collection provides the best possible experience in playing each game. The online issues that plagued the game in the past have been corrected, and the variation of lobbies is great.

What more can I say it's four halo games on one disc. If you have played them, you know what you're getting. If you haven't played them, go get this. It's one of the best values on the Xbone. Online multiplayer is broken right now though.

This graphical upgrade of the Halo franchise looks amazing - sadly the matchmaking system needs some work, but will hopefully be fully functional by the time some one reads this review. Otherwise, it's nice to have everything (campaign and all) in one package.

Great to get all four games in one. Plus having halo one and two remastered is awesome.
Only downside is there are aome bugs in the story mode and online play is very buggy. Very disappointing but I know in time with a few updates, the developers will fix it.

If the multiplayer starts working I would give it 5 stars! Replaying the old missions has been fantastic! I have only gotten to play like 4 online matches in the few days I have had it do to the broken match making, but what I have played have been great!

I primarily play Multiplayer online. The reason why I only gave it 3 stars is because the Multiplayer online has been a poor experience. This game never should have been released when it was. Instead they pushed out a beta release essentially and have been patching it along the way on a weekly basis to fix the issues. Not something one would expect as we are in 2014 and everything should go through beta and quality testing before it is released. Somehow this game passed all that and failed miserably in production.
The patches have helped improve the online play and experience, but still more work is needed. When you actually do play, the game is everything you expect from Halo just like the old days.

The game is really good at the moment I am playing the game on easy until I can learn the controls by heart. I have a projector I play on and the game is put into dimension from the projector to the wall which is really interactive. I have an ACER windows mixed reality headset that runs through a portal in windows. I am hoping to be able to get a gaming computer and link my games through the portal in windows with the headset and projector combo I should be able to link in the middle between the headset/projector which I think should be pretty Rad.

How about all 4 MasterChief games with updated graphics and multiplayer, and if you get nostalgic and want to play them in their original state, that is an option too. Plus all the Halo 1 maps finally added to online multiplayer.

This collection is perfect! The first three games are all super fun and have a great campaign story! The graphics are significantly better and it is worth the price to be able to see how the story began!

Halo is one of the quintessential franchises that console gamers must experience. If you're one of those PlayStation twerps who has never came to the light of Xbox and played Halo; well then, you're missing out. Master Chief, aka Spartan 117, aka John, is the biggest badass the known universe has ever witnessed. He pilots Covenant bombs through zero gravity, holds a digital hottie in his helmet, and possesses the enviable trait of "luck."
If you want a game collection to tickle your fancy, and your nether regions all at the same time, then this would be the set for you. Too bad it didn't include an audio book of Master Chief reading Aesop's Fables to lull me to sleep at night... that would've been awesome!

The Halo Master Chief collection has great coverage of the Halo franchise of both single player/coop games to date and multiplayer online games. The remastered graphics look pretty great in a few places on the older games.

You can finally have the entire Halo saga all in one place. Halo 1 and 2 are fully remastered and look incredible. The other titles run better but aren't as fancied up.
Great collection for an awesome price!

It was nice to revisit these games. I ran through the campaigns just before halo 5 but was frustrated with doing so. The problem I incountered was trying to play online with a few of my friends. There was so much lag at times I'd have to run the campaign on my own for some parts of the game. It was very annoying. This happened mostly with halo 3. Halo 1, 2, and 4 ran somewhat okay. I love Halo but the online was a real bummer. I'd only recommend this if your gonna be playing by yourself other then that no. If your gonna be playing Online Multiplayer it's still as fun as I remember and is now working a little better. A little Better is just not good enough.
