This has the potential to be a great game. I was thrilled to be able to play the classic Halo games on my XB1, however, there have been some major online bugs so far. It's not even feasible to play more than one matchmaking game online because it's close to a 15 minute wait in between matches when searching for new players. Once this bug gets fixed I would happily give 5 stars.

What is there negative to say about the Halo series?

Bought for my son as a gift. He had the Halo series for his xbox but loves this on his xbox one.

Great franchise to start off with if you haven't played a single halo game

Cant beat the $50 off and two full games!! The only thing is the 500g hard drive fills up quick.

I bought XB1 specifically for Halo multiplayer. I was excited to get to play all the old maps and game types until Halo 5 is released. To my great dismay, this game basically does NOT function as it should. Matchmaking is all but impossible for me and again, is THE sole purpose of buying an XB1. Long time Halo competitive game play fan so this is a big let down. They sold us on 'no lag ' with new dedicated servers and guess what? There is still lag in some matches right off the bat. So far I've invested over $500 and 10+ hours of waiting for matchmaking to play a total of 9 matches. This does not include the other problems with separates parties and the game freezing before and after matches, leading to the need to reset a brand new system. It's ridiculous! 343i and MS have basically sold me a non-functioning waste of time for a premium price.

This game is a must have for players over 18 but I am sure some of you will buy it for younger.
