A more accessible Souls like

Its not as punishing but is still a decent skill based melee combat game. It is heavily warrior centric and it is far more difficult to play as an agility based character. There is also a game breaking bug or two in new game plus. The story is interesting and voice acting is marginal but the character animation for those speaking parts is HORRIBLE. The game looks great, has a decent soundtrack and a good combat system. Worth buying on sale while you wait for another game.
