This is a slight step forward graphically and gameplay-wise. As a fan of the franchise mode, there have been improvements to speed up games, where you only play important "Madden moments." This allows you to get through seasons faster than usual. One downside is the heightened focus on Ultimate Team. You need to either spend real money or play countless hours/grind to make a competitive team. I just don't have the time for this mode. Overall it's a fun game, especially if you are a football fan.

This game is perfect for any football fan who loves football.

I bought this last year for my son and I never gave my review. I wanted to say that my son plays this game for hours. He can choose his teams and play both teams together. It is safe fun and his friends come over to play this game and eat pizza. This is a great way to relax at home with friends.

Great madden game. Finally made some much needed improvements to gameplay and features.

Ive played madden since its very first game. And every year Im overly excited about it and hoping they listen to their fans and focus on improving the gamely play. Im not a huge fan of the new running style and the camera angles. My hope is that another company comes out with a football so that maybe EA will feel the need to elevate of the overall game and not just the graphics.

I'm a big fan of the series but felt that Madden had become so insular that people new to it would have a difficult time picking it up and having fun. The training modes are the best in years and make learning the game a lot less frustrating.

I personally think this madden is top notch and offers new features that makes it worthy enough to upgrade just like every year. At release, the game was sluggish and there were many bugs online, but as time went on EA addressed the issues at hand and fixed them!!! Much better game!!

This year's Madden is by far the best Madden that has come out thus far. With the new featured moments you can simulate to you will sure have fun for months to come with this year's version.

Been a lifelong Madden player/critic, but I can definitely say with confidence this game is a step in the right direction. The EA team for madden still lags severely behind in certain categories in comparison to other games, but at least this year it feels like they've made progress, rather than just fixing whats broken. The commentary is on point, the best duo the game has ever had. Releasing commentary updates is the first genius idea I've seen Madden come up with in ages. That is something their game and their game alone does (For now). The presentation is smooth, adding a practice squad to the franchise was a HUGE difference maker. If you aim for realism (like me) no more having to release players the team ACTUALLY has because you dont have enough roster space in the game. As with any sports game, especially Madden, the success hinges on the post-production support. So hopefully they follow through with this and continue improving the game.

Playing since 95', by far hands down the best yet!! Still needs work in certain areas and has some holes in the game play but it is still worth every penny.

I was surprised that I actually enjoyed this game! (I'm much more of a FIFA gamer) This is a fun game to play even if you're not a fan of NFL. It's a great way to learn the rules and have some fun playing against others.

Running, passing and defense all come together for a great gameplay experience. Graphics are about the same as 2016, which isn't a bad thing.

I haven't played since '09, but with all of the promos and discounts, I couldn't resist. So far it seems like I remember with better graphics. Has anything changed with the basic game in real terms? not really

This is definitely the best madden yet. The graphics and the gameplay are really good. Absolutely recommended of you love football.

i like the competition on this madden, the WR and CB will actually fight for the ball. its not just one winner all of the time.

Another year of madden that gets better every year. Plus the gamers club rewards make this a easy decision, and a great price.
