Some people said it wasn't as good I think the open world is fun and it's still hard like the first one just have to be patient it's a open world for cqc

It's a bit different from other metal gear games but I personally love it. I Love the stealth aspect of it as well as blowing stuff up. It's a fun game.

Near perfect game for me: open world, stealth, customization. I've never played an entire metal gear game. This one gripped me, definite candidate for GOTY

The PS4 really shines through with this game. As a long time MGS fan, I was at first taken aback by the open-world nature, but this is truly a work of art.

I bought this as my first MGS game ever, haven't played the ones before this. I thought it would be like some sort of COD, but this game is different from anything I've played before. Its a stealth based game, where if you don't kill enemies you get rewarded, and killing then actually makes you lose points. I did not expect that. To be honest, its a good game but you must be patient, if you're the kind of player to shoot everything up, it may not be for you, you need to be careful and plan your movements to succeed at this game and not be detected. Graphics are amazing, top level. Beautifully made game, great graphics and story.

This game is an absolute joy to play. If you're a fan of the series there is just so much to love. Hideo Kojima knocked it out of the park with this entry.

Flawless game. The game seems endless, always something new to or try. The game easily lives up to all the hype. May be my favorite game in the franchise.

This game is over the top action and insane amount of random events that are jaw dropping! What a way to send off of the greatest franchises of all time.

If you enjoyed the other metal gear games for the hours of cutscenes this entry might not appeal to you but if gameplay is your thing you can't go wrong.

The gameplay for this game is out of this world. It's the kind of game that keeps you coming back for more, even after yo0u beat it. Highly recommended.

Phantom Pain story may not live up to some of the earlier entries in the series, but the gameplay is some of the most fun in any game I've ever played.

This is definitely one of the best games this gen so far! There's so much to do in this game I could literally play it forever and not get tired of it!

I have to say I was a little bit disappointed with this game. I was expecting a little more variety with this game since it is an open world but it seems a bit repetitive. Even though you are going to new areas in the game you end up doing the same things...eliminate a target or save a prisoner. What happened to the puzzle solving of the older games challenging you to think in a way you normally would not. I found it being a chore going into missions because I knew what was ahead...the same old thing. I really enjoyed the mother base aspect to create your own force as well as the buddy system to where you can take someone like Dee Dee (your dog companion) or Quiet (sniper) along with you to help with missions. All in all it was a good game but not better than some of the other games in the series.

Awesome game, great narrative. Less story than other MG games but still hooks you. The gameplay is the best in the series, though. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best game. I have been a Kojima fan since NES. This is an absolute must have. Make sure to upload your MGS: GZ save data before playing.

If you are a fan of the MGS series, like I am, this is a step in a different direction, but it has all same soul and WTF moments of previous titles.

I've been playing MGS since the original PS and the storyline is epic. Haven't finished it yet though since I'm taking my time. A VERY VERY LONG GAME.
