Since 2K13, the franchise has gone downhill. Too many collision steals and kickball violations have happened to me, lessening my enjoyment of the game.

I only buy 2k every 3 years because I could hardly notice difference. It's alright game, but get Kobe version. Only Kobe. Only LA

I'm a sports guy so I like it but producers should work to develop to clean up gameplay to make game as good as it should be.

The gameplay was fine but man the career mode was a let down. Youre pretty much a premade character named Frequency Vibrations. That alone makes this stupid. Play the old 2ks for career.

Hopefully you're smarter than I am and are reading this before actually buying the game. This is the worst 2k nba game ever, and I've owned every single one of them. The myplayer story directed by spike lee is atrocious and will probably be seen as racist by some. Don't buy this game, it's a waste of money. you also start out as this prep and college phenom but start your nba as the worst player the league has ever seen. I wish I could give this less than 1 star.

Would not recommend this game... Very repetitive, but does have great graphics

The nba season Format is great but the career mode is terrible. I like the nba2k15 career mode way better

Based on gameplay alone, this is a solid 4.5 even 5 stars. The different modes are in depth, detailed and very interactive as well. The reason why I am deducting 2 stars is because of two issues that the developers MUST fix before I ever consider purchasing another 2K product again. 1. They won't let me use my last name because it's offensive. My name isn't offensive. Heck, their announcer even says my name when I enter it but then blocks it after I hit save. It doesn't even have an offensive word in it, like "Dickson" for example. It's absurd. But even more offensive is 2. The MyCareer mode needs to be corrected to allow more nationalities than just African American. I'm a white guy. I created a white guy with a modified name thanks to #1 above.# I don't have black parents. I don't have a black twin sister. I didn't grow up in Harlem. I don't have a deep, typical African American voice. Etc. Etc. Etc. I am about 100% certain that Asians, Hispanics, Middle Eastern, Indian, etc. etc. also play the game and it would be nice if there was at least an option to adjust some of the mode to fit everyone, or just make it as race neutral as possible. I should've known this would happen after seeing "a Spike Lee joint" but I figured the developers of one of the most popular video games in the world would've tried to make their game inclusive to everyone who played it. I guess I was wrong.

The graphics, fluid ball and player movement and action are all excellent! I really like all of the different personal customizations that are available! I feel and noticed so far while playing, is that 2K didn't just focus only in one area or concept such as graphics like NBA Live did last year! Their graphics were great, but the gameplay was horrible! Well 2K16 focused on, and incorporated all of the different visual and gameplay aspects that make this a very balanced game as far as The overall package goes! The music background is a great mix of jams that give the game it's unique edge! I'm still learning all it has to offer so I'll update as more is learned and discovered! Great job NBA 2K16, great game this year! Also a shout out to BestBuy for the early tipoff release on Friday, September 25 for people who preordered, rather than the normal scheduled release date of Tuesday, September 29!

I was one that got the game early and at first the menu was a little tricky but i was able to figure everything out.The one thing you can't do for the first time in the 2K series is edit your players attributes so they are what they are.But you can adjust the sliders and that will make a difference for you so A+ there.Now the big question that everyone had was can you be Micheal Jordan and the answer is "YES". I imported the 1996 Bulls team and all the players were there including Jordan.Then I had to take My GM mode and the 96 Bulls replaced the current team and i started a season and it was great playing as Jordan all his moves,shots and dunks are all there and how much more that made me glad i bought the game.I think the controls are just a bit loose sometimes you go to stop a player and he keeps on going but overall the graphics are still the best.The other thing i didn't like was trying to trade players the computer kept refusing my offers so i gave up and besides having the 96 Bulls why would i want any other players.I know NBA Live 16 will not allow player edit again this year and this will still be the #1 game to get.

This game is incredible. Don't believe the people giving it a low review. It's the most realistic representation of NBA basketball ever. You can't just freelance and dominate with Lebron or KD like you could in the past. People that don't like it probably just want something like NBA Jam. MyCareer in 2K has been ok but it's never really been my main thing with the game anyway. I If you mainly play season, franchise mode, or online it's awesome.

The career mode is TERRIBLE. I by FAR prefer 2k15. I hope they get rid of the ridiculous story mode in the career before 2k17 comes out. If it has another story mode I WILL not purchase 2k17.

Let me start off by saying that PS4 is the most annoying gaming console I've ever had the displeasure of owning. When I got this game it says it requires an update to use most of the features in the game. The only thing you can really do is play an exhibition game. You have no access to the home menu or any of the game's career or create a player modes. Not that I care too much about those things since i'm mostly a casual gamer looking to get into the action quickly. It's these new generation consoles that make everything so complicated. What I don't understand is, why does this game need a software update if the game was released just a few days ago. Anyways, the game itself is really good. The graphics are top notch and everything looks very realistic. There is a lot of content in this game, which is enough to keep even the more intense gamers entertained for a long time. For me however, the game play is a bit frustrating. Granted, i'm not really familiar with 2K games or sports games in general. I found the shooting and passing very tricky and even when playing against the CPU in rookie mode i'm still very bad at this game. I guess I just need practice. Either way, its an enjoyable game and a lot of fun to play. Just take some time to read through the settings and figure out how the controls work and you should be fine.
