It's the new version of the NBA 2K series, and it's better than ever. My favorite mode is usually MyGM, and this year's version didn't disappoint. Trading for a superstar is harder than ever, which makes it more realistic and challenging. Get it if you haven't done so already!

Bought this game for my husband for christmas and he loves it. he loves that he can create his own player. the only bad thing is that each time you want to play, you need to create your player over again. It gets a little tedious.

I had not played 2k in a couple of years and never on the PS4. This game is great in terms of visuals and player control. Gameplay is great and everything but a part of me misses the 2k games of the mid 2000s on the PS2 that were a lot easier to play and get going. I understand the next-gen gaming, but I wish the game weren't so 2016, if that makes any sense. Overall good game though.

I haven't bought a basketball game in a long time. But I think this game is impressive. The graphics look amazing and getting the hang of the controls can take some time but once you get the hang of it, its pretty fun, especially playing with your friends.

I got this one during Black Friday. At such a low price, I am very happy about it.

I am fairly new to the nba2k franchise with only having played the 2014 and 2015 versions so far. They were infinitely better than this one. Also, I only play my career mode. This my career mode is horrible. Well, the story is compelling and fun but the rest of it is absolute garbage. The constant interruptions take away from the game play. When the game is loading you have to listen to the poorly done attempt at announcers analyzing the match up. This is a waste and should be removed. Then you have to watch the post game analysis after the game, which should also be removed. You can skip it, but only by spamming the circle button around 8-9 times and still having to watch around 20 seconds of it. It also has players answering questions during time outs sometimes. All this constant loading of videos just takes time, while you just sit there and wait. It will stretch a 10 minute game to near 20 minutes. Its frustrating. Before the game you begin in your gym. You can practice in your gym with a shoot around and change your jump shot animation to one that works for you. You put the shot meter on so you can see your release timing and the quality of your shots. During these shoot around, I can hit around 90% of my shots, if not more. I rarely miss. Its all about finding the shot animation you like and the release timing. In the old versions this would continue into the actual game. Not with this version. Once the game starts and you take a shot all of your practice and preparation are gone. None of it matters. After five complete seasons in my career I've managed to reach a shooting percentage of 51% career average. The highest was 56% for the first season and has been getting lower each season since. Even with all 99 ratings for your shooting stats wont make a difference. My best shooting percentage for a season was my first year, not including rookie, when I had the lowest stats. I have tested this for a long, long, long time. I've spent hours shooting. In a game it is normal to shoot 25 shots or so. I will hit A+ and green on an average of 20 of those. It doesn't mean anything. Some games I'll hit 15 shots out of those 20 and some games I'll hit 4 shots out of those 20. Release timing and getting a green on the shot meter don't mean anything. Also, the more ridiculous the shot, the more it seems to drop. I make a higher percentage of shots where I am running off the dribble and fading away at the 3 point line than I do when wide open standing still for a much closer mid range jumper. Also, the defender can be under the basket while you are at the 3 point line. You will receive the pass and the defender can get there to defend your shot before you can catch and shoot. Its is absolutely stupid. The defender can simply raise a hand and still be five feet away but affect your shot and throw it off. Yes, I know they are trying to make this a more realistic game but that is not the reason I play it. I would up the difficulty and change the sliders if I wanted realism. I want to be a star. Its impossible in this game. Skip my career mode it is awful. Don't buy this one for my career mode, go play 2015, it is much better.

Play as your favorite NBA stars in stunning visuals. The gameplay is fun and the myriad of options, including career, free play and franchise modes, should give players of different interests a choice to suit them. But the controls are sketchy as you're never sure if shots and passes with exactly hit their marks.

I wasn't expecting a whole lot, the game is enjoyable but not much different than the last.
