Customers are saying

Customers love the stunning graphics and fun multiplayer modes in Pre-Owned Star Wars Battlefront. Many also praise the game's ease of use and the enjoyable action, finding it a great value for the price. However, some feel the game lacks sufficient content, a substantial campaign, and a wider variety of maps.

I wasn't an online gamer before buying this one. I have had a ton of fun playing this however I have found the content to be a little light for the price. Wish it had a full single player campaign, even a short one. The graphics and game play are great, just feels like it's missing something to be complete.

Great Star Wars Game, but Only a Good Game

I had EXTREMELY high hopes for this game, and for the most part it meet those hopes. If you're looking for a game with a single-player CAMPAIGN mode, then this is NOT the game for you. If you're looking for a good multiplayer shooter game with GREAT Star Wars environments, then you'll be satisfied.

This game is a lot of fun, especially for Star Wars fans! They really nailed the sounds of the blasters and the graphics are incredible. I wish they would add some more variety in the fighter squadron mode, hopefully that may come in a later update! Overall a lot of fun and worth the buy.

Keep in mind, this review is coming from a non-Battlefield, Call of Duty player/ PROS: Beautiful set pieces, Hoth and Endor in particular, I marvel at and get lost in. Wonderful score (John Williams) Pretty easy to pick up for a casual player Single-player options to learn the game, weapons, power ups, star cards, before jumping into multiplayer - great fun doing Endor speeder bike chase and taking down AT-AT's in Hoth Original Trilogy content (i.e. not the underwhelming prequels) Can play as 6 heroes/villains including Boba Fett Cons: No campaign, should be more single-player, although multiplayer has been pretty fun too, many different types of games Only 4 planets, no Death Star, etc. They are holding back a lot for the DLC season pass unfortunately. Voice acting could be better. Very pleased with my purchase. Looking forward to blasting more rebel scum....

Star Wars Battlefront looks absolutely gorgeous on the PS4. The multiplayer online battles are a lot of fun, especially when it's 20v20. The game lacks a single player campain mode though, which is a pity. This game is a must-buy for any Star Wars fan.

If you're a fan of first person shooters this game will be lots of fun. This is not an accurate shooter type of game like the Battlefield series tend to be so it makes it easier for beginners who are trying to get into the genre . If you're a star wars fan you will enjoy the details of the maps, the sound effects and the different game modes available. However being used to the extensive modifications, add ons and options available for games like Battlefield it left me wanting a little more in the area of weapon mods and vehicle upgrades. I would also have liked to be able to have the option of having more than one partner to play along with and communicate with in game. The final issue and major disappointment for me was the lack of a story mode which I was really looking forward to. All in all its a fun game which could use minor improvements.

    A solid Star Wars Experience

Star Wars Battlefront is one of the best Star Wars games I've ever played. It surrounds you with sights and sounds that are authentic to the movies. Although the gameplay and progression system is basic to allow for accessibility, it's still a blast to play. Most of the game modes are fun to play and offer some variety. However, after a short time, the gameplay gets to be repetitive. I believe the game should have shipped with a few more planets and maps, at least. Although the game offers some story content with its Missions area, it's pretty thin and they don't offer very good rewards for the investment. Star Wars Battlefront is not a perfect game by any means, but it's a must for any serious Star Wars fan. It might not be a game you stick with for very long, but it's feels like Star Wars and is a lot of fun to play in short bursts.

This game has absolutely amazing graphics and the soundtrack is awesome as well but I just wish it came with more content. I am giving four stars on the beauty of the game but I am certainly disappointed with the content delivered.

I know people were really down on this game due to the lack of a single player campaign and an expensive season pass that unlocks content that probably should have been included from the start. That being said... Wait until it's on sale and then BUY THIS if you're a Star Wars fan and enjoy shooters. I'm not crazy about all of the modes, but I'll catch myself playing Turning Point, Walker Assault, etc for HOURS at a time. The upgrade system is a bit of a grind, but totally worth it when you unlock a new weapon or star card. They're still tweaking things and there are certainly flaws in the game, but you could do a loooot worse for a Star Wars themed shooter with some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

Hard to recommend at full price

It's pretty obvious that EA wanted this game out by the time TFA released in theaters due to the lack of content in this game. Fortunately this game didn't suffer from any of the technical issues that battlefield 4 did, but it's hard to sit down and play this game for hours like you would the older titles after you've played on the same map 6 different times. Another pro is how solid the gameplay is, which is something you know to expect from DICE. Even if you're a fan of the franchise, this game is hard to recommend at full price, so wait for it to be on sale to.

...doesnt make it pancakes. What I mean by that is just because it's Star Wars, doesn't mean its good. This is a horrible game. Once the nostalgia of Star Wars wears off, the flaws of the game are apparent. The weapons are junk. They all have the same range and accuracy, despite the different ratings. Only difference is rate of fire and mobility based on size of weapon. And it's much better, more accurate and more lethal to hip fire than it is to aim down the sights. The game modes are terrible. Only fun ones are Fighter Squadron, where you can fly they iconic air ships in huge fights in the sky, and Heroes vs Villains where it's 6v6 and 3 players on each side get to be Luke, Leia or Han for heroes or Vader, Emperor or Boba Fett for villains. TDM is disappointing because you can't use any of the heroes or villains, or fly any of the ships. If you want to play a team deathmatch style game mode and use heroes, villains, ships and AT-ATs you have to play Supremacy, a giant 20v20 capture the point game that is huge and you could be running to a capture point on the other side of the map, going away from the battles, only to have someone randomly spawn in front or behind you and kill you. The maps are beautiful as far as aesthetics go, but for a FPS, they just don't work. The sound effects are authentic and great. Blasters, lightsabers, all of it sounds like the movie, which is the only good thing i can say about it. If you like the Battlefield games, you'll probably like this, because it's battlefield 4.5 dressed up as star wars. If you want a good game, go buy Fallout 4. If you want a good FPS, go buy Black Ops 3 (decent) or Rainbow Six Siege (really good FPS). Hope this helps you.

    A solid but generic shooter.

This game was hyped merely because it is StarWars. There is a lot this game gets right in terms of feeling and grandeur of a Star Wars battle. Weapons feel strong and powerful. Sound design and graphics are top notch and on par with the new movies graphical effects. Huge disappointments follow... My biggest problem is this game has no campaign. A generic horde mode takes its place. This mode is essentially survival. No cutscenes, plot, or any meaningful dialogue. In general they stripped out an entire single player experience for the sake of a multi-player only, always online game. Like I said, multi-player is a lot of fun with friends and you actually feel like a stormtroopers or Republic rebel. Vehicle use and combat is awesome as always from Dice (Battlefield Games). This game is getting a sequel next year with promises of a campaign and Virtual Reality mode. So I fear that if you haven't jumped on the bandwagon for this game yet, there may not be a need to. At least until Battlefront 2 releases next year. I have a hard time recommending this but I wouldn't not recommend it. I just wouldn't not recomend.

I really enjoy the visuals and gameplay of this game. It is a very casual shooter, however lacks content which makes me weary of paying 59.99 for a game.

Battlefront has 2 things going for it: the visuals and Star Wars feel. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to hide it's shortcomings. There just isn't enough content to justify making Battlefront a $60 game. To make matters worse, the season pass adds on another $50. For not having a single player story, there should have been more maps available for free at launch. Eventually, the greed of game developers will catch up to them.
