This game is so easy to pick up and put back down. You can play for a few minutes or you may find yourself playing for hours unlicking everything in the game. Amiibo functionality even adds to its appeal. Whether you like fighting games or simply like the Nintendo brand characters, this is a must have game on the 3DS.

I skipped Smash Brothers Brawl for the Wii. The latest entry in the Smash Bros. series is an excellent return to form. Love being able to play on the go. Best played with friends, competitively or for fun.

There are 49 characters to play as, some clones, lots of new fighters though. I totally dig the stereoscopic 3D graphics and the optional cel-shaded outlines that make characters more visible. The two exclusive modes, Smash Run and StreetSmash, are lots of fun! Smash Run lets players run around in an open environment, fighting computer-controlled enemies to earn power-ups, before battling each other in a random match, such as vertical or horizontal races against each other or battles with lots of special rules. StreetSmash is a StreetPass-based game in which players control a disc and attempt to knock their opponents out of the arena. These 3DS exclusive features make it loads of fun and I recommend it to anyone.

First let me say I am a huge fan of this franchise. I played them all, each one better then the last. This version (I thought) was going to be a watered down portable version just to make money from the smash fans such as myself till the wii u version releases. I was wrong. This is a fantastic addition. The controls are spot on and if your used to playing with the GameCube controller(as I am for smash games) your going to feel at home after about 5 mins. All characters are faithfully represented and the unlockables are fun also. With all the stages and characters I thought it wouldn't have space left for any more fun but there are so many solo adventures that you'll have fun for days. Buy it you won't regret it.

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. She says it's a lot of fun to play, and it seems to offer enough challenge & "replayability" that she keeps going back to it. Highly recommend. On a side note, I actually bought it brand new, not sure why Best Buy has it labeled "pre-owned" here.

Another great entry in the franchise. This game continues the fun and diverse gameplay of it's predecessors while adding some great new characters and fixing most of the annoying online elements of Brawl.

With an output on both 3DS and Wii U, some might have thought , as is sometimes the case in these situations , the portable version of Super Smash Bros. that would be "on the cheap " . It is wrong to know the meaning of excellence in clean Masahiro Sakurai, who delivers here intact a Smash Bros. experience , refined in every detail . Generous and calibrated in such a way that surgery is almost crazy , this Super Smash Bros. paradise for completists and multi play, pure video game, beyond this stage. It is a virtual museum that highlights all the know- how and the exigency to own Nintendo, which fascinate players for so many years . All this in a small console that fits in your pocket. Settle it in Smash!

Super Smash Bros is a fantastic multiplayer game! Solo play is also quite fun. The characters, new and old, are all exciting to play as and move customization let's you personalize your moves and stats!

I was very skeptical of this series, but it seems after getting the wii u version, I ended up playing the 3ds version more often, where it's more accessible and easier for bite size chunk boredom filling. Excellent combat system, with deep mechanics that could take a while to master. Please with this purchase.

Smash wherever you go! My friends are pro, and they love it. And it's the first time I've *really* played Smash - and it's been fun and easy to just pick up and play a quick match. Highly recommended!

this is a very fun game. It's as full featured as the Wii u version but perfect for playing on the go. The online play is a bit laggy at times but that doesn't take too much away from the main game.

The way the video have market had shifted to selling half made games that you have to buy additional dlc for has made me lose faith in the video have market. Nintendo, with its new installment of super smash brothers is a fantastic exception to this. At no point in playing this game have I ever regretted paying for it, which is rare in today's market. At 40$ its more then worth it for the hours of entertainment it will bring you. Whether you are into competitive play or more casual play with your friends this game has functionality build in for you. By far its one of the best games released this year, and Nintendo has done a wonderful job staying true to the series without getting repetitive.

Being able to play Smash Bros on the 3DS is a fun and convenient experience. The fun isn't just limited at home but on the go as well. This game is a great addition to the 3DS library.

There is so much to do and so much to unlock while playing all the different game modes. They have the old school single player and fun side games and the normal smash. On my 3DS XL the characters show up well and I haven't really had problems with locating my character unless I am playing with another one with similar colors. If you are a smash bros fan then this is a must have. Only problem that I have so far is that I don't see what I am supposed to use coins for besides betting them on the classic mode and paying to play the tropic game. If there was a store to buy things I think there'd be more of a drive to get the coins instead of them being an afterthought to the game I just played.

Super fun! Kids and I have fun playing Smash Bros. on 3DS (and 2DS). Been a long time waiting for the Smash Bros. franchise to make its way to the handheld platform but it has been worth the wait.

Seriously, its amazing! great replay ability to boot, fun to do small customizations that can make a HUGE difference, easily mobile. Just dont rely on Multiplayer sans WII U. I dont know whats up with it but if its any more than 2 players its a lagfest past 10 min. but the rest of the game is just GOLDEN!

Bought the game for my son before we went on a trip so he could play on the plane. He played the all time during our trip, and loves it.

Many modes and unlockable characters. Customizable mini characters are great. Fun game to play multiplayer or alone. Characters can get small on screen in 4player mode though. Highly recommended.

This game is pretty neat. After playing R.P.G. or sloppy games on the DS for a while, it's good that they put all of the popular game characters from the past decade into one where it's non-stop combat. The graphics are good, however, the controls are a bit difficult to manuver though. I guess you can't win them all, but otherwise, not bad. I'd give it 3.5/5.

This is a fun game to play for short periods of time, when I just have 20 or 30 minutes to kill. Great for fans of the Smash Bros series
