Very good gameplay.. took some getting use to the handheld controls (im a console player) but if your already used to the 3ds youll be much better off than i was.

This is the same as the Wii U game, but portable. I had both, but found myself playing the Wii U version more. It's a great fighter.

Nintendo put a lot of things to do in this portable version of smash brothers. It is fun to play and makes you want to open up more characters, get more trophies etc... A+ title from Nintendo

I’m not a fanatic of Nintendo or super smash brothers but this is my favorite smash game. It’s definiedly the best handheld version that I can recall. Best Buy was kind enough to let me pricematch it with another vendor so that was an added bonus. Pros: Great graphics and visual art for the 3DS. Lots of fun with different characters and modes. Very user friendly controls. Music and sounds are well suited for the 3DS. Cons: Lack of story or mission mode. Online accessibility is sometimes unreliable. Some characters are overpowered like Metaknight.

This game is super fun and active. My son and I play local on our 3ds XL's. If you get any action fighting game, this is the one to get.

Absolutely one of the best games to come on the Nintendo systems. Solo or Vs friends this game is always fun. Definitely a must get!

I wasn't sure how playing Super Smash Bros would be on a handheld system after many years being huddled around a tv with 3 other people. It only took a few matches to find that the game is better than ever on the 3DS! There is so much content packed onto the cartridge to keep things interesting and fun. It is super easy to set up a match to play with people locally or online and the street pass feature is very entertaining. The only drawback is that there is no voice chat online so a little magic is lost of those nights on the couch. Unlike other portable games which I pick up and play for 20 minutes or so, Super Smash Bros is keeping me on my toes for hours a day!

This could've just been a port of the Wii U version, but the game stands up on it's own merits and works well as a handheld game, particularly on the New 3DS XL. In fact, I'd say that some modes are actually superior to the Wii U version. Definitely worth purchasing for any fan of the series.

this game is for my daughter and she's been waiting for this for a long time. graphics are great as well as the game mechanics and new characters. overall i would rate this game excellent!

Wonderfully creative, solid gameplay, engaging, the controls can be a challenge in the beginning (especailly if your used to other controller) but you'll adjust and the hours will fly by!

This game has countless hours of replay value. You can play with your friends good story. Lots of characters to unlock. This is the best 3ds game next to Mario kart.

If you have a 3DS this is in the top 3 must have games for the system for sure. Great game with lots of content to unlock and loads of fun. Again a must have for the system.

If you want to play serious competitive Smash, get the Wii U version. If you want to have fun, play Smash Run, and SMASH ON THE GO, then get this version. Definitely worth the purchase

For the first handheld version of Super Smash Bros., this game had to make a good first impression... and it delivers. As a person who has played Brawl, I can say that this feels a bit faster and much more balanced in both Characters and Stages (Although some items can be cheap (curse you Beetle!)). While some people dislike how some modes feel short, I feel like it was a good choice for a handheld game as it can let you play in short bursts. So if you have some time to kill, there you go. I can only really think of one low point and it's that sometimes when playing online the speed might fluctuate from a decent speed to molasses. Overall great game.

I was first against getting this game because I am not good at games like this but once I started playing and got a hold of the controls and combos of certain character, Mt favorite being Captain Falcon, I fell in love with this game. Five stars. A must buy for the Nintendo 3DS.

The game was easy to play for my 7 yr old. It was exciting and the graphics are amazing. Picked up the last copy at Best Buy as it was sold out everywhere. Highly recommend for kids.

It's smash bros on the go. A great installment and has lots of content to tie you over until the console release, or keep you playing for years. The core game play is as fun as ever.

This is a great game for anyone with a 3DS!! If you are looking for a fun game to play with out a lot of thought this is for you!

This game has much in common with past Smash games. Whjile the single player Classic mode is not as long or in depth, the All Star Mode and Smash Run provide plenty of distraction. As always, the traditional Smash mode, whether with computer or friends, is a blast. Plenty of replay-ability as you try and progress/ beat the game with all characters. My only qualm is the fact that Download Play is NOT supported, requires everyone to have a copy of the game. Makes it difficult for players in the same household (siblings). Overall great game, classic smash, a must own for current 3DS owners, and an incentive for all to purchase a 3ds. It is worth it.

Its smash on a portable system. What more can you ask for? i personally prefer this type of fighter to games like street fighter. so if you wanna a great fighting game to round out your library this is perfect for you.
